If Floyd wins he won't be the WBA welterweight champion?

I feel you, I think it could be argued either way. Shane beat Margo, who was thought to be number one in the class, so it should be him. On the other hand the #1 p4p, who had been #1 at every weight he'd spent significant time at, entered the weight class and starched out a top three guy, a guy who happens to have beat Shane. Don't think it's a crime against humanity that he's on top either.

**** those belts. They are the problem with boxing. I want to hear a fighter say that it is his dream to be the ring magazine champ at a division instead of just the a champion. these bull**** political belts are the problem but when it comes to the money involved, then more fights are labeled championship bouts and there is more money in championship bouts..

Who cares about these belts nowadays. If you win a meaningful fight, that is all that matters to fans. And future generations won't give a damn fakk about no more belts as there would be probably hundreds of them by then.

Floyd will pay the fees. He's just bumping his gums at the moment.

Have you never wondered why Mayweather only fought for WBC straps(minus the Judah Title fight)? Its the only belt organization he works with, perhaps the ring too, but he's only interested in the WBC. So next fight up after Mosley is probably the winner of Quintana-Berto

despite being stripped does he get to keep the strap? ... since he didn't lose it in the ring, can he keep it to add to his collection?
