After watching photos of the Mosley/Mayweather antics, I long for the Good old days...When fighters wore short black or white Everlast trunks, acted like adult tough guys at weighins, champions fought the very best contenders, time after time, there were eight weight divisions, and public popular demand, for competitive matches , were heeded by the fighters....Yes I long for the days of yore, because , you know what? THEY WERE BETTER.....

...I don't have to. He was the EXACT same way with Cotto and everybody else that I've seen him fight. I'm not running down his strengths, but the weaknesses of being underwhelming in hand speed and blocking with his face in a constant forward motion aren't tough to point out. None of his opponents had to chase him, all could hit him as long as the fight went on. Every guy I've watched him fight. Cotto, Cintron, Clottey, Lujan-the other guys he's beaten before the Mosley fight. It's never been different that I've noticed. Cotto didn't have to chase Margarito, did he? Cotto hit Margo with everything but the kitchen sink, didn't he?

He moved forward and let Cintron bomb him with a smile and returned fire. Slowish fire. Totally, totally different fights anyway, but I don't understand your point, mate. Slower punching fighters that come forward constantly and without head movement do not test older fighters' reflexes for dulling. Had Mosley fought Berto over a year ago instead, then we might better know what kind of shape he's in. Unless Mosley had ended it with the first punch, in which case we wouldn't know. But, again, I'm not running down Margo's strengths or how good Mosley's win over him was. I'm only questioning how telling that fight was for what kind of shape Mosley is in.

I pay attention, I just heard Floyd in an interview and he was told you did not want to fight Shane until he had 2 back to back loses, not before...I dont know who is saying Floyd called him out then. Floyd did not dispute it in the interview

Floyd was just told in an interview that he did not want to fight Shane until after the losses to Forest and he did not protest. A lot of fighters say they want to fight and then look for a reason out...I dont think Floyd wanted to fight Pac-man

Well my point is your downgrading the win because of Margaritos supposed shortcomings that got him through some pretty tough fights in the past. Hes always been the same, yet hes worn down faster younger stronger fighters. Even Paul Williams who throws a thousand punches a round was starting to slow and the fight became very close at the end. Margarito beat opponents on strength, pressure and workraate not savvy boxing skills. Mosley beat him at his own game.
Going into that fight I think a lot of people thought Mosley was going to get killed. Its only after the fight that people are saying he only beat him because of the style matchups.

So thats your basis of facts, RA Rugged Muchkin  Floyd's not a good debater, RA Rugged was well off with all his 'facts'

Pacquaio walked away from the fight, Mayweather signed

Floyd admitted that was the first time he tried to fight Shane. I don't think Floyd wants to fight a tough pressure fighter with speed. Shane may be too old to do it but if Shane makes it a war. I am not sure Floyd can fight that type of fighter...Floyd was trying to play mind games with Pac + the extra testing...come-on fight the guy dont try so hard to find reasons not too

Umm no he didnt, Floyd said he wanted Mosley since 2000 and Rugged was like 'yea when he was coming off 2 losses', when in actual fact Mosley was unbeaten. The fight wasnt even offered to Mosley then when he was coming off losses, Mosley turned the fight down on national TV in 06, and he was called out years before that on national TV and in the media never showing an interest in the fight

There's a huge difference between calling somebody out and actually intending to fight him. I'm not blaming Mayweather or Mosley, but talk is very cheap.

The fact is Floyd is fighting Shane. Has it occured to anybody that maybe Gilligan and Skipper are working behind the scenes on Shane's behalf? Twelve million turned down for a rubber match with Oscar, the marked inability to do **** after the Margarito fight even though it would have been in the best interest of ALL concerned that Mosley had of fought even a mere tune-up. Fact is, maybe that suit he wore for his little episode with Floyd might well have been from 1986....for good reason.

Not certain about any of you, but I'm not getting all up about this match-up given the fact Shane will have fifteen months of rust under his belt....and I haven't forgotten how stale he looked just a few short months before Margarito when he fought Mayorga.
