Whitaker is a top 5 all time LW IMO, right alongside Leonard, Armstrong, Duran, and Williams, in whatever order you want to put them.

Well, classic ESB is certainly the place for you :D

On topic tho - Whitaker MUST rank as one of the top LWs ever caught on film, the only 2 LWs Id pick over the best LW Pea are the Duran of Dejesus III & the Chavez of Rosario.

Whitaker maybe gets a tad overrated on here at times but he was without doubt one of the greatest boxers of all time, no doubt at all.

A top 5 spot is certainly debatable, but a shoo-in for top 10.

    True story.

Anyway, i have him at 4 i think. We've went resume mad on here, and i know it's right, but maybe we should take it back to the old school and give credit to guys being great fighters a little, that's Whitakers domain, that's his patch, don't **** there. Not to detract from the resume though.

Consider the possibilities if you will.

If Leonard could box and jive Duran into walking out of the ring, imagine what a prime Whitaker might do with him.

Whitaker was too proud and noble to do a second rate Lou Bizarro impersonation though;).He would want to pit his best skills against whoever he was facing.
