Hi guys. This is my first post. Long time reader but I've had enough of Floyd's lies that I have to speak my mind now.

I just read in an earlier thread that Floyd said Pacquiao's Nike deal is only 74,000.... Is he crazy? I remember Floyd's crew used to sport Air Jordan's to the fights and now he's with British Knights.

Pacquiao signed with Nike for a contract worth over 30 million dollars.

Do any of the Floyd fans care to comment on why Floyd would hate on Manny's Nike deal by saying its 74k?

Nike don't just pick the best athlete to sponsor out of any sport, they sponsor a wide range of athletes at all levels of ability.

When they sponsored Pacquiao he wasn't regarded as the best and wasn't either marketable or popular compared to other boxers at the time, which is why they could have got him signed up so cheaply if Mayweather is correct and I don't see Arum shouting him down.

You could say Nike got lucky with Pacquiao.

Morrisey, I don't need a link to prove that Manny signed for over 30 million. I was there at the wild card gym the day one of the trainers there told me that Manny had that huge smile on his face all day because he just inked for 30 million.

You'd have to be a real moron to think a sports power like Nike would only pay 74k to one of their athletes and you'd have to be an even bigger moron to believe Floyd.

Floyd is jealous and hating on Manny because Manny with Nike and Floyd with British Knights. But at least Grant gives Floyd free gloves.

Affected, the endorsement deal is the straw that broke the camel's back.

All of his lies and propaganda are sickening to the sport of boxing and when I read what he said about Nike only paying an athlete 74k, i figured it was an amusing enough issue to speak about.

true but not exactly right. pacquiao was signed by nike around the time of the morales' fights or after it (not sure about the exact time). nike saw the potential in pac's marketability but pac was already the 2nd best in the sports back then. nike could have chosen floyd but just picked pacquiao over him even if floyd was the p4p#1 back then.

    Toontoon.

You're so wrong. I think you're just making stuff up like Floyd. I really mean that. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Nike signed Pacquiao because they recognized his marketability in the Asian market. Believe it or not... Nike sells in Asia too. Basketball being a very popular sport in The Philippines, and Yao Ming being from China opened a new market for Nike in Asia. In 2006 the year Pacquiao signed with Nike he was already a superstar throughout Southeast Asia.

Toontoon, you're obvioulsy a Floyd follower because you make stuff up on the spot and try to trick people into believing your lies.

    Thanks Ilesey.

I guess you can say that I'm like Malcolm X and MLK in that I'm taking a stand by trying to clean up the sport of boxing by pointing out the lies and propaganda from the criminals in the sport. It like the civil rights movement but absolutely insignificant.

Floyd fans dont need a source, aslong as it comes out of Floyd's mouth himself then it must be true.

Where's the link? Also note Pacquiao never denied he was getting $74k from Nike and he never denied he's getting $6m for the Clottey fight.
