    I remember when Tex beat Leon Spinks in a 10 rounder in '88, it seems by this stage Cobbs usually very sturdy whiskers had abandoned him as he had been dropped by Eddie Gregg and stopped in the opener by Dee Collier. Has anyone got any info on the Collier loss?
    Tex finished his career with 20 straight wins, pretty much all against poor opposition it has to be said. What was the reason (other than a bit of cash) for that run of victories I wonder. Surely he never thought he could get another big fight as i guess he was completely done by that point....

    I've heard that by that point he was into coke and even then, sometimes a guy just wears down.

    Plus he got into movies. He was great in Raising Arizona as the bounty hunter. :p
