Well,...obviously. Now then, how long until he gets Cintron the "poo-see" in there with Josh after the Pac fight?...Never? Cintron isn't showing up? Oh, well. Josh is going to have to finally move up to 154 either way.

Clottey looks huge here. I think he might be too big for WaPakMan, as juiced as Manny might be I think Clottey might actually KO him.

    finalfight, YES.

I admit, I worded it in my own way, but Cotto did in fact say in the Pac/Cotto build up,

"The punch that KO'd Hatton would have taken down Mike Tyson. But, I am not Ricky Hatton. I am Miguel Cotto."

Can you post those cute cute blue smiley faces and say 'No' to this? If you do, it's obvious you don't know what your talking about

The fans no matter how much lack of appreciation they have for the sweet science can't decide whether to change a fighters record, judges do. It all depends on what the judges look for but needless to say it's usually the aggressive, come-forward fighter. Us defensive fighters get no love:|:|:|

Everybody knows that clottey will become a high light reel. Arum sets his guys up to loose to make mega fights. No way arum looses the biggest purse any boxer or promoter has ever seen because clotty decides he doesn't want to lay down. PAC is going to demolish clottey in such a way even the *******s are going to be screaming for random tests.

Wrong. There is a very pivital moment in round two that goes unnoticed, and its when Cotto makes the decision to instead of continue and box (like he had in round 1, being patient, smart, cautious, waiting for openings, backing off when need be) but a little into round two instead of backing off when pac goes on the offensive, he chooses to stay in the pocket and simply put his gloves up to absorb the punches, so he can be right there to return fire, and essentially start brawling pac, no doubt in the faulty thinking of that he would be able to break pac down. But it sure as hell wasnt because he started to 'feel the pain', its because he became arrogant and figured he 'could'. Then they warred for 4 rounds after and Pac showed why hes amazing.

    Interesting Kirk,

what was that Pivotal moment in rd 2?

I just know from fighting, when a guy starts overwhelming you with speed and yes, speed hurts, your first defense is to fight back hard. But if that don't work, then its to run the hell away.

Of course Clotteys best bet is to knock pac out buti could see Clottey winning a decision.... cuts pac with a headbutt and goes on to pummel him throughout if pac cant see his right coming while being so big and strong that he simply closes the gap on pac and bullies him enough. I think if Clottey wins 9 rounds he could maybe edge out a SD lol...

you dont know Kirk... but Manny has a secret knee to the thigh technique. I saw him try it on Michael Moorer and Moorer got angry.

If Clottey uses headbutt, Pac will cripple Clottey and we all saw that Clottey wanted to give up after attacked Clottey's leg

True Bernard, your right on there :good And i think thats what wound up happening but i dont think its what started cottos 'in the pocket' warring...

Round 1 Cotto uses his footwork, head movement, small perries, and angles while setting things up and countering or using his jab to the point where hes hardly even touched (i dont know if you have a copy to watch but rewatch if you can, cuz for real hes hardly touched or bothered the slightest) let alone stung by anything pac throws.

Round 2 - At about 2:23 or so of the second round Pac throws a powerful right/left one two.... and for the first time just about Cotto, instead of slipping it or moving out of the way, seriously puts his hands up clottey style (mind you, at this point he had hardly taken a flush shot and had effectively negated almost everything pac had done for a round and some change) and just absorbed the shot so he could stay right there, and then again at about 2:15 or so, he thinks pac is going to throw again and once again instead of using movement he 'shells up' in preperation for it.

This (imo) was Cottos first fatal error, i think he simply got arrogant at his success and having felt pacs strength (but he still hadnt tasted pacs power) he felt like he would break him down so he decided to war with him, simply walking him down and trying to overpower him. And is exactly how i said i hope he doesnt fight (i was so happy in round 1 when he was using his skills, i was afraid he would come out overconfident and too much with the bigger man mentality (similar to his fight with chop chop)

Which led to his downfall, then after the knockdowns he became super desperate and just became dumb in his attack, then pac broke him and he went into survival mode.

Thats just my take on it (i shouldnt have said you were 'wrong' in my last post, i just mean this is my opinion)

I want to also make clear im not making any excuses for the fight, im simply saying how i think the dynamics of the fight played out, and Cottos decision to drop his gameplan that had him win round one was because of overconfidence, but at the end of the day Pac was simply a class above my boy Cotto. No shame in that though.

Pac impressed me so much with his ability to counter and have the strength and power to overmatch Cotto, i think Pac is smarter then many give him credit for with his counter punching and defence.

I'm rooting for Clottey in this one; i don't dislike Pac at all, but I really want to see clottey do well in this one.

It'll be interesting to see how Pac handles Joshua, as a lot of his strengths will be weakened or negated. I'm especially interested to see what joshua can do with his size and strength advantage.
