The bill seems to be stacking up so we should monitor it. To date it looks like this: David Haye vs John Ruiz - WBA HW Title George Groves vs Charles Adamu - C'Wealth 168 Title Lee McCallister vs Ben Murphy - C'Wealth 135 Title Jamie Moore vs Sergey Khomitski Tony Quigley vs Paul Samuels Carl Dilks vs TBA Curtis Woodhouse vs TBA Adrian Gonzalez vs TBA Looks like a decent defence with a solid domestic undercard. It would be nice if we could have one or two more fights of real worth. It would be nice to see Quigley or Moore vs Barker but doesn't look like that will happen. Dilks and Woodhouse in domestic bouts. Gonzalez being tested.
Woodhouse is fighting the French champion I think. 2 secs and I will get his name for ya :good Edit: Christopher Sebire (19-3) I think
It's good by domestic standards, excited to see Groves get his chance. But when you put it into context of a 'world heavyweight title fight', as this is, it kinda leaves something to be desired. You expect another world class fighter on a bill like that.
Thats what im thinking. I was going to go and watch it, but i dont think the bill is "that" exciting. As you say its good but not great.
Lots of good fighters, lacking in good fights. Of course I will be watching but as PPVs go I think the undercard is average. Whats the deal with this Gonzalez kid anyway? Is he any good? Didnt know there was a young American in Hayes camp.
Couldn't agree more. This bill doesn't have the "Valuev freak show" factor about it. I would have expected them to get a decent world name on the undercard to bulk it up a bit. I mean, Haye is fighting the most boring HW in the modern era; you'd expect a little back-up to that.
Nah, that's poor in my eyes. Take Haye off and it's a good Saturday night show, nothing more. Nothing on there good enough to be chief support. Aud - Snos would improve it in my eyes.
Gonzalez is with Hatton. To be fair, if this was a Warren card he'd be getting a lot of **** for putting this on PPV. Unfortunately, Haye hasn't really got any of his own fighters any more (apart from Groves) so he'll always struggle to put an undercard together. Seems like he's working with VIP and Steve Wood for this one and McAllister is on as he's trained by Coldwell who works for Hayemaker.
I'd have liked to have seen it being a bit stronger. Substitute McAllister for someone else..... Lindsay maybe.
I think this is more or less spot on. it's good, but a world class match up as chief support would improve it no end. Anyone know if all hopes of Rhodes appearing as chief support are off?
Again, good domestic bill but it's a shame they couldn't have a better undercard for Haye's first defence.
I will be going to this and the undercard is okay,I'm especially looking forward to Groves - Adamu. When you compare it to what Klitschkos put on the undercard of their world heavyweight title fights then this looks good imo.
