Urango gettin stopped doesnt look good on Ricky !!!

Bloody hell, anyone could look good against those fighters, they arent even world class fighters.

 

Your probably right Alexander did stop a better version of Urango but im still not sure what the point is? Rickys win over Urango by his own admission wasnt a vintage performance he looked ****ed going down the home stretch (Hatton claimed he had a virus) whatever the case this sometimes happens in boxing and sport in general. i wouldnt look too much into it different styles makes fights ect...... I dont think Alexander koing him makes Ricky look bad though in answer to the thread title.

 

Is that the same Hatton that beat up Castillo and outclassed Malignaggi, the same fighter who has just beaten Diaz.

My point was not been defensive for Hatton, it was about not drawing conclusions on how if one fighter won on points and the other by stoppage they have both come out with the desired result...:yep

I was a Hatton fanatic, 4 trips to Las Vegas and all his fights over here when he was boxing in a half curtained off M.E.N Arena...:yep Please note I was and not still is...:yep

In boxing it ain't about who you fight it's about who you don't fight... And the ones you do fight, it's about when you fight them...timing is everything...:good

It means nothing and I dislike these theads that claim as soon as one fighter beats another better than someone else, it looks bad. There was a whole bunch of this **** when Ward beat Kessler - all of a sudden it's a bad mark on Calzaghe. Hatton didn't go life and death with him, he beat Urango clearly himself. Just because he didn't knock him quicker than Alexander it's a mark against Ricky? Sorry, no way. Urango is a good win but it's no signature win. Does it mean there is now a black mark against Vitali Klitschko as he lost to a fat old Lewis inside the distance whereas Mavrovic took a prime Lewis the distance giving him a good fight en route? Not really.

I think it makes Berto look bad if anything. He's a weight above Alexander and couldn't come anywhere close to stopping him.

Hatton looked really ****ed up in the interviews a few days before the fight and it later turned out he was pretty sick. He did what he had to do in them circumstances and he won.
