I never heard of Alexander before last night. And now I want to see more of him. I dont see how he screwed himself when he just gained numerous fans who saw him last night like this Latino and also my Korean and Indian friends.

 

The ironic thing about this thread is that Alexander got his WBC after Bradley relinquished it instead of fighting Alexander. Granted, he had a WBO mando as well and got more money fighting Campbell. That's what it all comes down to in the end, the money. Khan is being guarenteed $1 mill per fight by GBP. They're going to need some hefty liscensing fees from HBO to be able to continue paying that. HBO is clearly building Alexander as one of the top JWWs. They're creating sort of an unofficial tourney in order to crown the next JWW champ. Alexander is being put in a position to be able to fight all of the top guys. He just needs to keep winning. So far, Bradley is the only guy that has ducked him.

 

Couldn't agree more. That was his coming out party. He's no longer simply the underexposed Don King fighter that some writers have been hyping.

After that KO, he for damn sure won't be getting a fight with Khan for some time...no way Roach is going to let Khan near him until he's more than ready. But now we know for sure who Bradley should be fighting. I say this thing should happen in June, or they can push back the date a few weeks if Alexander wants a slightly longer camp. But it definitely needs to happen.

Come on man, plenty of legit boxing fans were giving him props following the fight. Lets not forget thats he's only 23 and is relatively new to the boxing scene. If he has a few more dominating performances like yesterdays he will be well on his way to boxing superstardum. Dude has plenty of time to reach that rarefied Delahoya plateau. I personally believe he has all of the intangibles to get to that level.
