This is true, it was Kessler this and Kessler that. But once he lost it appeared that most of them jumped on AA bandwagon. I hope the wheels are storng enough to hold them all. Kessler losing to Froch would make them happy as hell, they could then claim that Kessler in fact has past it. Problem is even if that happens you can still say that Kessler just was never that good to begin with. After all Calzaghe was until Ward the only true ELITE level fighter that Kessler had faced.

But this is nothing new from European fans, I remember getting into it with a number of them years ago when they tried to tell me that Virgil Hill was in his prime vs DM but past his prime and shot 9 months later when he was knockout by Jones. I also recall them saying that Shea Neary was the next great fighter until Mickey Ward dismantled him then they were saying that he was never good to start with.

Kessler is TRUELY the cornerstone win of Calzaghe career, the history books will be no more loving to Calzaghe for wins over Jones and Hopkins then they were for Brian Nielsen having wins over Larry Homles, Carlos De Leon and Tim witherspoon.

I like Calzaghe and I, like many people don't give a **** about Kessler or Carl Froch. Don't be such dumb-****s and try and assume what entire nations of people are thinking. You see that little brain-wave that decided you were going to post a total load of bull****? Well thats called a "Free Will" It means you choose to do what you want, whether that means jerking off your own dad or typing some **** on a boxing forum. People all around the world have this amazing ability to think what they want because they want to. Therefore, most people are not thinking the same thing. How ****ing dumb can you be to try and say that just because you like Calzaghe you have to feel a certain way about another boxer? Why are you sitting there making up these theories that you really have no proof about? And then talking about it like its fact? Congratulations you've just earned my "****** Of The Day" badge. I am not even going to say you are dumb because you are American, I am going to suggest you are dumb because the people that made you were cousins long before they were husband and wife.

    Edit.

I will add something on topic. Calazghe was talented but pretty overrated and he never proved himself against a real threat. Fighting an old Jones and B-Hop don't really earn you points in my book, having said that B-Hop is still looking really good at his age. And I think Carl Froch thinks he is better then what he actually is. He wants to prove himself against the best but he lacks the talent, he will more than likely beat Kessler, but lose to any slick boxer that can move and hit because Froch cannot cut off a ring or keep up with fast fighters.

I remember some idiot claimed on here that Kessler was going to wipe the floor with Ward and go on to become P4P 1#.

    "Some idiot?"

That was about 80% of the forum and about 99% of Brits and Northwestern Europeans.

Hey. I favored Kessler going into that fight. Cut that out. Notice that every fighter with the home court advantage won? I'm sure that was it. :D

Besides, it's not my fault Saurland didn't do his homework well enough when he set this thing up to make Kessler and Abraham look good. I was just deferring to the pros....

Yet another idiot that thinks entire nations of people have the same opinion. I can't stand such blind ****ing ignorance.

Its okay for Americans to have different opinions on things, but as long its another country they are all think the same thing, right? Boxing is an international sport. People from all the over the world watch it, I have more interest in Mexican boxers and US fighters then I do in domestic fighting, I don't follow a fighter because of the flag he waves, I follow him because I like him as fighter. There are obviously some biased people out there, but people like you ****ing **** me off, don't counter biased pricks by being a ****ing bigger biased ***** yourself.

    I like Joe. Hell, I'm a fan,

    BUT,

I've been boosting SOG for time now and was quietly confident of an impressive showing against Kessler. Andre's the real deal and I will be shocked if he doesn't end up with the better career of the 2, intact '0' or not.

**** what you may have heard from some of Cal's ball-washers, Ward beats down any version of Kessler. At no point in Kessler's career has he shown the depth of skill required to offset the versatility Ward brings to the table.

Froch is a HELL of a lot of fun, BTW.

I hope a combination of his determination and the Dane's dented confidence can somehow contrive to wreck Kessler's tournament.

The longer Carl runs, the better for the sport. He's done more for the good of world championship boxing in his time as titlist than Kessler managed in 3 times as long.

I'm a Calzaghe fan and I haven't given it much thought but what you say makes a lot of sense. If Froche beats Kessler that would for sure add legitmcsy to that Kessler wasn't the same fighter after Calzaghe beat him. Thank's for bringing it up. Blind Calzaghe supporters are probably rooting for Froche about as much blind Ward supporters are rooting for Kessler.
