Who wins? Tzsyu vs. Cotto

That's true. I actually admire Cotto for not holding, even when hurt. It makes for a much better fight win or lose for the fans.

 

it's awesome, but he avoids it to a fault. if he did it just a little bit (strategically) he'd be a much better fighter.

 

Yeah I know he just ain't that type of fighter. Would have easily beat Margo IMO if he did hold at times

 

Great fight - I will go for Tszyu as I think he's more durable and a level above Miguel, but a great fight none the less.

I know KT is underrated but this is...ridiculous. KT would have him out of there mid-rounds.

 

Tszyu had a hell of a chin and I can't recall him ever across his career being hurt to the body. He was very very tough and more than willing to take punches to land his own. Cotto at 140 wasn't in Tszyu's league ... he was rocked on numerous occasions by fighters at that weight and faded down the stretch.

Now .. make the fight at 147 and it gets more interesting and more brutal. That said, I think Tszyu is too good even at the higher weight, the left hook off the jab eventually setting up too many big rights that eventually put a determined but bloody Cotto away.

This is a hard matchup to predict. I've never seen Tszyu against a hard puncher and a great body puncher like Cotto. We don't know how Tszyu would react to strong body punches. Cotto's main achilles heel was his chin, and Tszyu was an accurate head hunter. I can't decide on this one.

Tszyu was cheated in the Hatton fight. Hatton held and butted. Watch the fight.

 

Nice ****ing matchup. Could go either way IMO and it likely ends by late rounds KO. This fight would have Fiight of the Year potential written all over it.

No, Cotto is a good fighter. A good, strong quality champ, borderline HOF. KT is a 140 ATG, one of the best that ever lived, and this fight wouldn't be close. This thread is exposing a lot of boxing ignorance.

 

Cottos chin at 140 wouldnt hold up to Kostyas right hand . At 147 I'd give cotto a decent chance at outboxing him.

 

cotto's not exactly hard to hit, and his chin, especially at 140 wasn't granite, i can see only one outcome. tzsyu ko mid to late rounds
