mayweather-mosley is getting talked about more than the pacquiao fight, and that's a couple of months away. the pacquiao fight like i said just lacks that "wow" factor to get people talking. how is a fight like that going to attract the casuals when even boxing fans aren't even talking about the fight on boxing forums?

Got ya. It seems that rankings and sanctioning bodies are useless now. Fighters no longer fight top ranked/mandatories; They just fight whoever will make them the most $$.

that's good, a boxing fight is attracting a supposed hardcore boxing fan. a boxing fan like me and you like a good bout no matter what, but boxing needs a fight that attracts the newcomers to the sport, and this isn't the fight that is going to do that. like i said, i look at the bigger picture than you do.

Casuals are good, but we don't have to have Floyd-Pac for casuals.

Besides.. what if we put all of our eggs in one basket and everyone across America has a fight party at the crib, and one of the dudes get KO'd in the first.. or it's snoozefest, or some controversial dumb**** robbery happens....

    Then what?

This fights are good, but trying to bank the reputation of an entire sport on an event that happens once every two years is ridiculous.

i'm not basing the whole sport in just one fight as theres loads of top fights out there, but i do want the biggest boxing fight in the world to actually happen, and theres not a ****ing chance in hell i'm going to be rooting for someone to destroy that from happening, or ruin the significance of the fight once it happens. this fight needs to happen, and it needs them to beat their next opponents.

How much did Clottey make against Cotto? You would think he would have made at least 1mil... Diaz made 1mil against Pac and that wasnt much better numbers.

Anyways after this fight, Clottey will be a millionaire. I think he will show a good account of himself, and just by fighting Pac, he puts his name out there, even in loosing effort, if he puts up a good fight, he can become a decent draw himself. He will probably regain a WW title, just not against Pac.

Althought these 2 fighters (Pac, PBF) are currently the best, they are overrated too.

I dont like calculations, so I think it will be better for boxing if fighters who calculate too much gets their ears pinned back sometimes. I think its fair. Not talk and count your money all the time, just fight.

Void fans want Clottey to win the fight, no surprise about that.

Good point. I agree. I might hire a publicist/manager, but that person is hired based on the fact that I trust him/her to adequately represent me. These guys have represented Pac to the media (Arum, Koncz, and Roach) and they have been about as cohesive and consistent as the Keystone cops.

I like how you put that. Just so you know, I saw what you did there and we are on the same page.

I would love to see Arum's face if Pac were to lose! That would make it worth $50. I just don't think that it's going to happen.

I love that song. And it would be fitting.

Pac stopped Cotto, Cotto beat Mosely, that tells me something. Pac's first choice was Void, not Clottey, Roach tried to get Void to fight Pac after Pac stopped Hatton, but Void also refused that as well, chose Marquez.
