Darchi's power not that great at bantam (see Agbeko fight). Hasegawa is a big bantam and could probably KO Darchi at 118.
This would be great to see. Awesome cash out fight for Vic and if he wins he can keep on truckin. Better then waiting for Nonentity. It just occured to me how fit and quick Vic still looks for a 34 year old superflyweight. You dont hear to much of that, thats very old for the lighter weights.
I liked Donaire a lot especially once he knocked Vic out but he's just been fighting such disappointing opposition since. He's lost my respect until he takes on somebody who actually has a chance of beating him. Gets on HBO or Showtime and off those stupid Pinoy Power cards.
vic has the ability to beat both, and ko them too. the agbeko fight is not a good example of his chances at bantamweight. he lost his cool early and the fightplan was ignored for the rest of the fight, and there was bugger all in between the two fighters at the end of the fight. he showed against guerrero that he can use his brain more now and won every round. he could have reverted to his old tactics and ko'd the bloke, but he wanted to show he can box effectively
You don't think he tried to KO Guerrero? I'm not disagreeing that Darch fought a great fight, but I think the lack of knockout had more to do with his opponent's chin than any particular "gameplan".
he did hit the guy with plenty of good punches that would have ko'd most opponents, even vic said he was surprised that the guy didn't drop from some of the shots, but if darchinyan had of fought like he use to he would have won by ko. that is the point i'm making. he could have fought like that against this guy with little risk, but his corner was emphasising to box and to fight a smarter fight. as if they were trying to prove a point to some doubters as well that vic was too much of a hot-head to fight smart.
come on this isn't happening. vic is a 112-115-pounder, hasegawa a big bantam destined for 122 and 126. montiel is going to get trounced by hasegawa if he ever signs for the fvcking fight.
c'mon this isn't happening? r u getting a little silly now? hasagawa has virtually fought every time at 117-118 his whole career, now your talking about 126. darchinyan will be just as effective at bantamweight as long as he keeps his cool and doesn't get sucked in to silly tactics.
