i like burns i think he would have a bit to much for appleby i would like to see burns vs sykes that would be great veiwing
I reckon Burns will stop him. Although Burns is not a puncher by any means, I'm not convinced on Martinez. Seems shaky to me.
yes your right mate paul defended against a lifelong superbantam weight pickering and looked fantastic eh?
i could beleive that maybe 3 years ago before i started training him though, but you shouldnt always beleive what you dont see!
Very, very reliable source. Infact, the person was reluctant to admit it. I agree though, Ricky would be too clever for him at this stage. I don't really want to see Appleby fight him, let them both have success, Appleby at British level and hopefully Ricky above that if he wins the WBO.
Just been watching him on youtube. Seems it was easy to forget just how good a prospect he looked and was considered before the defeat to Lynsay. This was a nice wee reminder [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXMYZ8dzeVg&feature=related[/ame]
Lets not forget Paul was barely out of his teens when he won the british title and his best is yet to come. I can see him surpass them all. Simpson is a good fighter and great to watch. (I reckon he beats Lindsay) but I still reckon Paul can go that bit further than John has in the next few years. On the other hand Simpson did have a few dodgy decisions go against him in years gone by and had he got the nod in those bouts he might have been mixing it with the top tier guys nowadays. Paul will be getting physically stronger as each year passes for the next 3 or so years as he is at that age where he will grow and develop a 'mans' strength for want of a better phrase lol. At 22 and having already been a champion (youngest scot ever and youngest brit fw ever) with a long career ahead of him I reckon its safe to say he has plenty of time to improve and is nowhere near the finished article yet. IMO of course
Yep. No way should Appleby be allowed near Ricky just yet. Appleby has won nothing and beaten no one who can compare to the guys Burns has been destroying recently. Best of luck in the world title fight. Do Scotland proud.:thumbsup
i'd say once hes bk and had afew fights and training hard he will realise he can still do feather! defently one 2 watch hope he gets bk up 2 title level!
If I was kidding Burns would not have the record deserving of being called the best current super feather in Britain and certainly would not be getting a title shot.
No way was gomez anywhere near his prime, you can't get away with saying that, gomez hasnt been in his prime for years
Thats what I was thinking. I was sure he was being sarcastic lol. Gomez was past his best when he fought Arthur never mind Burns lol
