I think Sosnowski will make better (I'm not saying good) fight in the sense that he'll probably try his best and get quickly KO'd, while the fight with Toney could go like the last one with Johnson - the challenger just trying to survive and unable/unwilling to do anything else, and Vitali winning round after round to get wide and boring UD. Also, for the reasons already mentioned (the fight being held close to Poland) I agree Sosnowski will be a bigger draw than Toney. But I think the main advantage Sosnowski has over Toney is that Vitali knows he is willing to fight him anytime anywhere for any kind of money, and he was interested to get reliable opponent quickly. I doubt Toney falls into this category.
The unkown Polish fighter a bigger draw than the ATG James Toney. This comment insults my intelligence.
James Toney is a real fighter. He does not come in just to survive, never has never will. He still knows how to fight, he is a throwback. You guys are all newbies to the sport. :rasta
LOL at James Toney. Toney had an offer to face Wald when Toney had no belt. Toney declined and took a fight vs a no name with no belt on the line for less money. Vitali would beat the 313 out of Toney. James Toney is only running his mouth because its safe to do so.
Cant believe people are actually hating on vitali for not fighting toney. Nobody says that toney isnt a legend and a bad ass fighter, but seriously right now I cant see how he is relavent in the HW division.
There is huge size disparity, and Toney has no longer speed and footwork to make up for it and get inside where things could get more interesting. Vitali would keep him at the end of his jab, and the best Toney could do is to make him miss as often as possible like Johnson OK, you are right I wasn't precise calling it "trying to survive", but the point i that is does not matter as the outcome would be similar anyway.
James Toney is right, Vitali is a *****. David Haye will knock this ***** out before the end of the year.
You may be right there, but how relevant is the Polish fighter? The polish fighter is not a more attractive opponent from a marketing or competitive standpoint. Let's be serious Vitali will win by KO in a onesided against sokonokski, at least Toney has a chin.
Have to quote the black eyed peas concerning Haye: "running and running and running and running..." :hey
Running from another Klitschko slave contract, you fight Wlad and if you win you need to give him a rematch then you have to fight Vitali then you also get next to no money into the bargain.
He ran from Klitschko's slave contract right into the arms of Sauerland's slave contract. What a dumb argument!
