The fact that there is yet another thread on this topic goes to show it is a subject of debate and will always be so. Personally, I don't think he was shot but he was passed prime. I do think he could have made some more noise at 154 had he stayed there. And Mosley is a whole different fighter than DLH, I think Mosley can beat Mayweather if the best Mosley shows up...I do think Mosley will force the fight more than DLH could do.
8-4 Never understood any crying about that fight. It was a bit boring, still less boring than what i had expected.
I thought Castillo won that fight as well, but I wouldn't call it a gift decision by any means. I hope your opinion isn't based on the fake compubox numbers that were posted on the internet.
I had it for De la Hoya by 1 round. Thought Oscar parried alot of Floyds pot shots later and did not get credit for it, people seemed to think that because the fight slowed down Oscar must be getting raped:-( I am in the minority though
Oscar could of won an oscar for his trying to look busy performance. All those fake body shots made me sick. To say floyd was ever in doubt that he was in complete control of the fight is totally stupid. He controlled the whole fight and there is no way oscar won. Having said that there are a few clsoe rounds but floyd pretty much fought the majority of the rounds exactly how he wanted. I would not use this fight as a test for how Floyd will do vs Shane. I think floyd has evolved since his break from boxing. Plus he will be at his more comforatble weight. Not to mention Shanes possible ring rust and age. Floyd by wide U.D
I agree with you wholeheartedly. De La Hoya won the bulk of the early rounds with his jab and body punches and was able to hang tough in the last round after fading late.
de la hoya wasn't landing ****. He was just gettin on the ropes and swinging wildly like a ghetto chick pullin weave.
