Use his lateral footwork to move to the left. Cut off the ring if Pacquiao tries to box. Keep the jab working. Throw the right hand to the body - then come up top with the left hook. Stay busy.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Clottey pull off the upset in this one. He is a big strong welterweight and is a difficult fight for anyone.

Agreed. He has to counter like Marquez.

Wack the right hand down the middle every chance he gets.

Pac actually had Cotto's jab timed early on in round 2 and began to beat the jab with straight lefts and right hook counters.

Cotto's jab was working on Pacquiao. It was snapping his head back. Clottey should do the same and counter punch. My problem is Pacman will dance around him with footwork and handspeed all night, not allowing The Grand Master to set up much.

Cotto's a stiffer jabber than Clottey, and Cotto's jab was timed and figured out as early as Round 2 when Pac started using straight lefts and right hooks to answer (or outright attack knowing when and where the counter-jab is coming).

A stiff jab, a vicious 1-2, and NEVER rushing in sloppy.
