Herein lies your flaw. You're no analyst, you're a fan fooled by flash over substance.

If he beats Rigondeaux, that's really an accomplishment!!! Rigo may not be a Napoles ( in pro accomplishments ) but he is considered possibly the best amateur fighter of all times!!! :good

To be honest i dont think Gamboa will be able to attain the legacy needed to surpass them, but thats just IMO, id like to see him do it though.

No, I go for what I have seen and I have seen more speed than any one else. Granted, Napoles, Gavilan etc may have been more " composed " and more profesional but Gamboa is way more " explosive and more raw talented "...

So I guess you rate Zab Judah, Howard Davis Jr., Meldrick Taylor, Joan Guzman, etc. among the best of all time as well, yeah?

Give it some time before you go off the deep end with this guy is all I'm saying. I like him, too, but you're really jumping the gun by even making the comparison to the greatest to have hailed from Cuba.

IMO, he's started too late to pass Gavilan, Napoles and Chocolate. I do think he'll be great though. He very well could end up being the best Cuban fighter who defected after Castro took over.

well i view juanma and gamboa as the two best in their division, i view both of them as great fighters. if gamboa beats him then he'd be on his path to ATG's in my opinion. again, my opinion.

This is the difference. Judah, Davis, Taylor, Guzman, etc cannot be compared to Gamboa because of just 1 thing, " amateur accomplishments "...

Gamboa is way above all those fighters in terms of skills simply because of his long and successful amateur experience and on top of that, he is more physically gifted than all of them!

    That's the main difference... :good

No, it's not too late. Gamboa is just 26 ( going on 27 ) and already has 17 pro bouts and is World Champion. Now, Rigondeaux is a different story, he really needs to hurry up !!!

Gamboa can easily end up at the end of his career with at least 40 to 45 pro fights !!! That's enough to have a good measuring stick versus the Cuban all time greats... :good
