Lots of people on here are complaining about Pac fighting Clottey after the Mayweather deal fell through. Who could Pacquiao have fought that would not have labelled him a "cherry picker" by various people on here?

    All kinds of fierce warriors.

This is my point, there really was not that many options for Pac. Mosley was ment to be fighting Berto so that wasn't an option, given the circumstances at the time i think that clottey is the toughest opponent that Pac could have fought without going down or up in weight.

You have to realize pac can still make 140 pretty easily, let alone 135.

He had way more options than floyd.

Yes but i don't think he wanted to go down in weight so im talking about his choices at 147.

at 147 there were no real good choices, thats the bottom line, and at 140 or 135 there are tougher fights, i think, but arent any real mainstream names yet, he didnt have alot of good options and he wont after this fight

i think the obvious answer is Tim Bradley. not that its a harder fight but just a more meaningful one and also he's not an in-house fighter

    Foreman, but he ducked him.

  10. The deals on hold, i can't believe the boxing community thinks it has really fallen through.

I don't know about all that cherrypicking bull****, but I think Pac chose the absolute worst fighter he could have chosen for this fight.

He will basically lose a net of about $30M just to wear an ass-whipppin.

Exactly, so why do people on here keep saying that he's a "cherry picker" because he is fighting Clottey. I don't expect any of these people to give me a decent answer or an alternative fight at welterweight were they would not have labelled him a cherry picker, the thing is if Mosley-Berto didn't fall through then Mayweather would have been in a worse position than Pac and they would have backed his choice even though it would have probably been a fight not as tough as the Clottey fight for Pac because even Clottey would not have been an option for him.

Even if you're correct, why are people hating on him for his selection of Clottey while the Mayweather fight was postponed then?

cmon man you know how it is, reverse the situation, say mayweather signed to fight clottey and pacquiao lucked out when mosley berto got called off and everyone would be saying floyd cherry picked, hell hes fighting mosley and people still say that, its just the way things work, outside of mosley mayweather and pacquiao there are no huge fights at 147, so someones gotta be left out
