Does anyone have any legal streams for Paul Hylands fight tonight in Italy. Paul's got a great chance of winning, it would be excellent if I could get watching it.

Dodson chin has always let him down in the past, although he looks much bigger than Smith. My gut feelings are that Smith will stop him in the mid rounds.

Good stuff Paddy, if Paul could punch like Pajo we wouldn't have to worry about the scorecards. We can only hope the judges give Paul a fair crack of the whip.

When i was working on a local paper in Tallaght the Hylands used to get good pr via Shamrock Rovers (the pr gurus). I am a big fan of all the lads as blokes and fighters(i love watching Paulie in the ring:oops:) but they are strugling to get mainstream coverage.I dont know if Paulies fight this weekend got a mention in the star this week, but i didnt see it in any other papers covering it. I got 250 words in a national but i didnt see it anyother paper.

Boxing isnt seen as mainstream anymore- and in editors eyes it doesnt attract advertisers like the other sports. Soccer is the Holy grail for editors and Rugby isnt too far behind.. Rugby also ensures you attract this ABC1 waffle that all papers want. With an ABC1 readership you get to charge advertisers more.. thats what they are after..

Golf is the perfect example- I cant imagine it has more of following than boxing- but editors in papers love golf more than boxing. When i was in full paper empl0yment and earning cash!! :?...i used to ghost write a weekly piece for a golfer. the lad wasnt a big golfer, wasnt a nice bloke and we could never get him on the phone to even get his weekly opinion..so we used to make the article up- every time we complained we were told the peice couldnt be cut 'because golf brings in most money' and pays your wages.

Not knocking boxing supporters but they are not all D4 merc drivers so even if they sell papers they may not entice sponsors and advertisers!!!

We have the best group of fighters in a while- with 3 European Champs a good crew up the North- but exposure wise boxing will begin to struggle i think... But im going to try and keep doing my bit and hopefully we'll get it mainstream again

I think it's going to be a good old local tear-up with leather flying and plenty of blood spilled (both cut easily) and Paul Smith coming out on top. I don't particularly rate Smith that highly but he should have the skills to derail Dodson, who's tough but limited.

Dodson's scrap with Quigley was a ******* and I think if Brian Magee got the winner of this in a WBO eliminator/European voluntary then it would be a great fight for him. I know Frank Warren owns Smith and is keen on Magee and from what I've seen Brian would have little to fear from these two.
