Hey guys! Just thought I'd introduce myself, I've been reading for a while now but never really got round to posting. Long time boxing fan, love a bit of MMA aswell, any form of fighting really lol.

I'm picking Hatton to beat Mayweather, I see a lot of people claim that Mayweather's gonna school Ricky, but I can't see that happening. Saying he's gonna school him is just plain ignoring the fact that Ricky has actually got decent skills, not just a plodder. I think a late stoppage win, hopefully through a few broken ribs.

Calzaghe to beat Kessler. I'm sorry but I've just not seen anything from Kessler so far that makes me think he's anything special. He lacks the skills to beat Calzaghe, but it's gonna be a hard fight for sure. Slight concern about Joe's hands though.

Lastly, I've watched Froch since his first professional fight, seen him live at Nottingham Arena. This guy IS going to be world champion, he's every bit as skilled as he thinks he is, yeah I know he runs his mouth but don't tell me he doesn't believe what he says. As for Khan, skilled but fallable, I'll say he'll he world champion but not without a few losses.

Anyway, look forward to the debates and banter!

If that is so it just makes him even MORE ridiculous than if he was just "pulling our legs" (or whatever the correct term would be).
I hope for Frochs sake he doesn't take all the crap out of his mouth half as serious as his fans apparently does.

Nah it doesn't. There's so much **** talking in boxing, especially from Americans, that don't even believe what they're saying so much as doing it to get a rise out of their opponents. That's not rediculous?
Anyway dumdane, you might think he's **** but watch his fights on youtube if you haven't. If you still think he's all talk fair enough, but I think he'll go far. Btw, he's never said anything that out there has he, just that he thinks he's pretty damn good?!

    Hi elle, cheers!

alright mate. Agree with you about hatton-mayweather. Ive seen virtually all of kesslers fight and hes a good solid boxer-puncher with a sound defence but will not be good enough to beat calzaghe.

Dont like froch though.IMO hes not a world class super middle weight.Hes too flawed

Welcome to the board. I guess since you've seen Froch in person that means he'll be a world champion. That really convinces me. By the way, Ricky won't beat Floyd. :hi:

Froch would be brilliant if he'd got speed, workrate and a tighter defence to go with his excellent timing, power and accuracy. As he doesn't though he'd require a huge slice of luck to win a world title.

    Welcome aboard mate

I'd love to agree with your predictions, but I think Hatton will lose, Calzaghe could lose and Froch I'm undecided on

    mayweather to a potshotting win
calzaghe to win in a tough fight
froch to either step up or shut up (a shot reid is not a step up imo)

    oh yeah welcome southjaw

Yeah I agree Reid isn't a step up, but he's recovering from an operation so it's more of a warm up fight for next year, as that I'd say it's a pretty good domestic fight. Not too sure who he should fight though, Kessler/Calzaghe aren't going to fight him, maybe Mundine in a war of mouths. Also, Froch always said he was going to do things the 'proper' way, winning the lonsdale belt etc. He's only been professional for 5 years, so the fact that he's 30 and doesn't have fights against the best opposition doesn't really speak against them, and btw, it's not like he hasn't called them out, as we all know!

I agree with you CHJ, he seems too content to sit back and wait for the opportunity to smack em with a big one, but if he's got the talent to do that, he's got the talent to step it up.

    Anyway, cheers for the welcomes!
