    you must be new to boxing, in the past Hatton has shown he is an attention ***** and still wants a fight with Mayweather

    Smart move by Hatton, he doesn't need the money as far as I'm aware so why risk serious injury or diminishing your career by fighting on?

    I like Ricky and would hate to see him not knowing when to call it a day like RJJ.

    I really hope news comes to pass. When Ricky challenged Mayweather and Pac it was his attempts to achieve P4P #1 status. He's never going to achieve that now so maybe he realises that that ambition is gone. Anything else is going to make it real hard for him to go through all those weeks of training and losing weight for what. . .money? titles? He already has plenty of both. I enjoyed his career but it's time to call it quits. Ricky has always been likeable and a good talker - he should do well with his promotional career and working in TV.
