Roy Jones Jr. Top 100 ATG?

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that the earlier mentioned fighters don't deserve to be top100. My point was that if they are, certainly RJJ is.



Seriously, your hate for RJJ must have no limits if you are so deluded as to rate him outside of the top100.

Orishaman, did Roy **** your girlfriend or something? He must have done something really bad that you are prepared to completeley embarrass yourself like this and take away any credibility that you had.

Whether or not Orishaman is taking the ****, i had a good laugh anyway.

 

I rate them about even H2H vs. the 160-175 crop, Calzaghe would have beaten every single fighter that Jones faced at those weight classes.

The difference is that Calzaghe could definitley not have done with Jones did vs. Ruiz, due to styles and different physical traits in general. Jones ran and exploded, this was his style, Calzaghe boxes and thrashes and stays on a guy the entire fight if openings are presented, he excells when people come at him.

People like you don't realise just how amazing of a fighter Calzaghe is, because you go off of 'mostly' resume alone. But you do pick him over Toney, which is a first step. It's not a matter of nuthugging, he's about to brutally thrash an A+ level fighter in Kessler at age 35, something most 35 year olds could not do.

So all of the years of being mismanaged and being avoided by the name acts are coming to a close, as is Calzaghe's career sadly. I really wish we could have seen the best of Joe Calzaghe more often, but he will retire a top 100 ATG, providing that he beats Kessler and 1 or 2 fighters of a similiar level, then maybe time will give him the credit as a H2H monster that he deserves.

The 168 version of Jones should rightfully be favoured over Calzaghe, but at 175, who knows, Jones was a different guy at 175 and I've never seen a 175 Calzaghe, but Jones does in fact have the styles advantage.

 

Roy is top 100, even top 75.

He is not top 50 in my opinion.

He never unified any titles? Jones held the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles at LHW. So thats not true. He was the IBF SMW champion for 2 years, and held the LHW titles for 6 years with the DQ mixed in. So he held titles for a length of time as well.

 

kg already answered most of the question you put forth for me. I just want to ask you what was roy's record in champ fights as compared to the other 50 guys you have in front of him.

 

Nope, all I am saying that is that 96% in favor , in excess of 70% are huggers , 20% are legitimate beleivers, and 10% are super huggers....
