Considering circumstances, Clottey has little chance to dethrone the Pac man

After re-watching recent tape of Clottey, I don't see anything that makes me believe he is the guy to knock Pac out of his long, hot winning streak. He has too much of a basic text book style fighter, and isn't good enough at it, to defeat Pacquiao at this stage, IMO.

The main things Clottey has going for him are size, strength, good defense... Besides that, not much. He can take advantage of a guy who decides to stay inside and trade on the inside, or go back (run) in a straight line where he can chase them. Pacquiao's style is too erratic and his footwork will give Clottey problems. Clottey will simply get outworked and possibly stopped by the faster and more dynamic Pacquiao.

There are just too many disadvantages for Clottey to deal with, stylistically. And to add, I do believe Pacquiao has, combined with effects of speed and punch placement, real WW power.

Things that are going against Clottey
    1. Footwork; comes in straight, sometimes with his chin up while throwing.
    2. Can be predictable
    3. Inactive at times
    4. looses focus during a fight, questionable mental strength

This isn't a mystery for most, but I see some people on the forums really believe Clottey has a good chance at beating Pacquaio, I honestly don't see it. Feel free to post your objective (if that's even possible) reasons why Clottey actually has a chance.

    He doesn't.

They are hyping Clottey up to help their PPV sales. The guy has no realistic chance of winning this fight. That much will be evident after Pacquiao whips him tonight.

Clottey does not win more than 3-4 rounds in this fight, if he even makes it to the end.

Clottey usually steps up against better competition.... Doesn't win those fights (except the Judah and Corrales fight) ... He's a spot fighter which is the main reason why he will lose to Manny... My question is when Clottey starts fighting in those spots, can Manny withstand that... Manny might want to go to the body BUT does he really want to go to the inside early on against Clottey~?? Giving Clottey his best chance at winning... Because Clottey will work in the inside... Throws plenty of hard combos... Clottey will go the distance.... But does he have a shot at winning~?? I give him a 35-40% chance of winning...
