Actually he has kind of pissed me off in his fight with Hatton and tonight. I guess i will excuse him for the warrior he was in his prime.

 

For a dude involved in what I think is the best fight in the past 10 years, he should have enough dignity to rest on his achievements.

 

i still cant forget the cheating issue at the scale when he fought corrales...to me he doesnt belong with the elite,i separate him from barrera,morales,marquez and will set him along with antonio margarito.just a cheater.

 

respect is due,he was a p4p fighter from 03-05,a true warrior.

 

The only dude who has beaten mayweather.
Involved in the fight of the decade.

He deserves a good retirement.

 

Was involved in one of the best fights ever,beat fighters like Casamayor,Johnston,Mayweather,Corrales,Bazan,Lazcano etc overall i think he had a very good career.

Jose was a warrior in his prime and has fought the best of the best.

He was a real warrior when he was at his best. Gave us a lot of exciting, tough fights - and in my opinion, his first fight with Chico was the greatest fight ever.

It's a bit of an oddity that he never made it at the higher weights. I mean he was a big big 135 guy, those Mayweather/Corrales fights might have taken something from him.

Anyway, he was a great fighter in his day. No need to ruin his status now by losing to fighters that really don't deserve to be in the ring with him when it comes to status, but who beat him simply because Castillo is either way past his peak or has simply lost the hunger or both.

Ricky Hatton is 5 years younger, he could still give a good account of himself, problem is, hunger's gone, so he retires. Castillo should have done this after the Hatton loss.

I just hope he has enough money to retire - but sadly something tells me that he does not.

 

It is rumored that he still has unsettled debt in Mexico, so he might need more cash.

We might see a Castillo-Morales at 147.
