thats almost 30lbs less than the Chambers fight, where Sam weighed 265..He is still a young man but I can see him losing another 20 lbs slowly, mosly around the torso and upper legs. I have to take my hat off to him hope he keeps it up,
Yet he's still not exactly in superb condition, which is very telling of how badly out of shape he was above 250 pounds, not to mention 265. This new dedication that he has found may take him towards another title shot but I can't see him having another title run. He's strong but very crude. Not really a top class fighter, the likes of Oleg Maskaev and James Toney were there to be taken, those are his only good wins.
He was much more cut and he will always be thick but he would be much more fit and energetic if he slowly dropped another 20lbs, he would lose it in the middle were his weight lays...now if Areola could drop 40 lbs we may start to see these guys being able to fight 12 rds at a decent pace and make for good fights. I thinks it the 12 rd mentality but none of them are worth anything after 5-8 rds
40 pounds is way too much for Arreola to lose. Arreola's best weight is probably 235. No need to cut lower than that, otherwise he'll lose too much leverage on his punches.
He fought at 175lbs in the amatuers and then 190lbs, he was still not cut because that is not his body but he is far overweight and leverage is not aweight issue, it balance. I DEF think Areola can get to the 220lb range and work on speed and ring generalship. The problem with him is he is not dedicated and it has been stated by his managers. I like Chris he has heart and Power. I wish he would relize how far discipline and dedication would take him.
Wlad would absolutely butcher Peter up if they fought again. I really want to see Peter-Arreola or even Peter-Solis since Top Rank has a hand in both Peter and Solis. Wlad-Peter might be a fight HBO would be on board with but Peter gets knocked out if they fight again. Povetkin pulling out again wouldn't be a shock. I think he and Wlad is a decent fight but Wlad beats him. Povetkin could benefit from some more professional rounds and by letting Wlad get a bit older before he fights him if he ever does. Vitali is the Klitschko that Povetkin should be gunning for right now, he matches up better there.
