1. Why is Manny's double punch considered an "illegal" punch? How is that much different from the Clown Prince's double punch? Instead of a two handed straight, it's a two handed hook. 2. In theory, if someone were to do a Tony Ja from Ong Bak by jumping and punching the top of Clottey's head, would that be illegal as well? I'm dead serious about this question.
I think it should be allowed... It's not much of a difference between a very fast left, right hook combo if you think of it. How fast in succession can they be before it's not allowed anymore... that's crazy if you think about it. In Karate there are a few double punches and you may use them as you see fit in any tournament. It's a risky also, because you alsmost can't block a counter.
Yeah that was funny. Had the live audience at a public showing here rolling. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PnHE9FLyf8[/ame]
Its illegal because if fighters continue to something like that it would cause so many head butts in boxing there woulld never be a decision fight.
also imagine someone huge like valuev doing it to someone with a tiny peanut head like haye or tony, jesus christ i wonder what will be the shape of their head after its done
Ah. Let's face it. Just by 'definition' you aren't going to get much on a punch like that. You would have to have some pretty amazing arm strength to make that a meaningful tactic. I guess in a sever mismatch maybe..... But then would it really matter?
Thats why refs always say ...PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES ...something Joshua should have taken advantage of.
