Hmm.. I don't know about that. Clottey probably weigh-in at about 170 and Pacquiao weigh-in about 149 during the fight and getting hit by guy who is about 20 lbs heavier will be able to inflict some damage on to him.
yup. while it seems like he can take punches just as well at the higher weights, his face is reacting a little differently to getting hit harder.
He's getting punched in the face by bigger and bigger guys. Like Clottey said in the prefight, "They might beat me but they always look worse than me." He was being honest. :good
You *******s have the excuses ready to rollout for anything that has to do with pacquiao!!! Just say he was getting tag by a slow azz none punching dude who could have easily got into pacs azz. Floyd is going to whip this boy and im betting the farm on this one.
Agreed i saw his head snap back and some of those clottey uppercuts were nasty....I actually got worried about pacman around round 3 when clottey opened up i thought **** pacman might actually go down if clottey lands a clean right. Props to pacman though for tkaing thsoe punches!
cos he s getting hit by bigger men thats why. he would just shrug off punches by jmm and morales- but punches by cotto and clottey clearly move and bruise this guy- im concerned with how many hits he s willing to take for bravados sake sometimes- i think its a matter of time before he gets hurt. not necessarily against floyd but someone like shane or mararito could definetely knock him out. that being said though. when people mention chins- they never mention pac- this guy hasnt been knocked out in like 10 years and not the the jaw either- and he s moved up and been hit by the best hitters in increasingly big divisions- oscar, ricky., cotto and clottey are all dudes that can seriously throw them things.
Seriously though. (steroids is a laughing matter by now, we all know that, let's get real) I agree with the thread starter. The swelling is too early compare to normal boxers. It's like that since round 5, Clottey has connected only 5 or so clean jabs at that point. Either his almost 60 fights are taking it's toll already or Clottey is that powerful.
