Ok so that means just me, all of kennys team, kenny himself, benny king, Barry mcguigan, victor loughlin, patrick mendez, jim evans and nearly everyone we spoke to thought we won. The reportes we spoke to, Danny Flexon and Brian Donald. On our own then.

What was there in his performance to make people suggest he may have lost, and also what was there in his performance to suggest he can move up the ranks? I ask this as someone who hasn't seen the fight or a report on it

to be fair jeff people who have spoke to me said kenny's performance was a bit tired looking and thought he'd lost.but all that matters is victor loughlin's thoughts and kenny got it,so he can move on to the dilks fight.:good

It wasn't a great performance Billy. He was rusty and lacked sharpness, but that said the 8 rounds would have done him a lot of good. It makes no difference to me whether he was fortunate or not, he got the victory.. However sincerely, watching from ringside there was no question he won it comfortably enough. Poor performance, but he won it hands down IMO and i'm struggling to see how anyone could make a case for mendez unless headbutts and holding now count as scoring actions :good.

I didn't see every minute of every round but what I did see was not overly exciting. Mendy was definitely up for it, it was his big chance to shine, and Kenny couldn't afford to be too reckless with an eliminator with Carl Dilks coming up.

There was a little bit of "afters" at the end of an early round when Mendy, trapped in Kenny's corner right at the bell, tried to push his way out when the bell rang. A head clash also opened up a cut over Kenny's eyebrow quite early on but Benny King kept it in check.

Kenny won the bout 78 - 75 and it was good to see him get the rounds under his belt. Don't forget he's been out for 12 months, and the two call offs at very short notice have to be very frustrating. Onwards and upwards.

billy did you think kenny got beat and brown bomber i wasnt there but what i will say i think victor loughlin is one of the best scottish judges we have and he is not normally worried about the promoters boxer he calls it as he sees . i read the evening news story which say it was a very hard fight and that mendy was up for it also when kenny was cut maybe the ref deducted a point from mendy so there could be reason that caused mendy rather than a home town decision but as i said for years boxing is about opinion so everyone entitle to there

Heres what Mendys manager had to say after the fight-

Meanwhile, Mendy's manager Jim Evans conceded: "Anderson won the fight okay. In the early rounds, Anderson's double jab and body shots broke up my man Mendy's rhythm but, nevertheless, he still gave Anderson a good, hard, fight."

Onwards & upwards for Kenny Anderson:good

Looks to me like kenny anderson has failed once again, he seems to be fighting these bums and struggling, i notice that hes also cut, so i take it this will put him out of action for a while :-(
