Cotto vs Mayweather will happen before Pacquiao vs Mayweather...

    ...Manny Pacquiao is Bob Arum's "Golden Ticket". The best fighter in Top Rank Inc., the most visible and most marketable fighter Arum has. Popular not only with boxing fans but even far more popular with "Non-Boxing Media" (Late-Night talk show circuit...etc). Think about it..There was 50,000 people to watch him fight a Statue. Arum would be a damn fool to risk losing the "Cash-Money-Momentum" Pacquiao has generated over the past few years. So be prepared for Pacquiao vs Margarito in Mexico this summer and if Humberto Soto gets past Anthony Peterson or Valero gets by Lamont Peterson those will be his future opponents (Margarito, Soto or Valero).

    Floyd, Devon Alexander and Timothy Bradley are FAR TOO RISKY for Arum...Pacquiao will have NO problem fighting them. But it's so obvious that Arum is just a GREEDY ******* and wants to keep Pacquiao fighting "In House" fighters.

    So if Cotto gets by Foreman, he will have then made his name relevant again and a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. will happen easy. Because a Cotto loss will not hurt Arum's pocket.

    I just like Manny for what he does in the ring.

    I dislike Floyd for what he invents to prevent getting inside one.

    Why is everything always Bob Arum's fault? Remember it was pacquiao's fear of drawing blood that didn't make the fight against Mayweather happen; Arum was eager he even flew to the philippines. People make it out to be like pacquiao is an angel or he's just some stupid guy. He's here for the $50 you give to see him 2-3 times annually.

    And unfortunately, just like I thought. Instead of noticing that the fighters missing from Floyd resume are all TOP RANK INC. fighters...and Bob Arums strained and uncomfortable past with Mayweather that makes it impossible to get something done. And not to mention Arum never contacted Floyd to fight Cotto at 140lbs nor 147lbs.

    Just like I thought, if they fought now...It would be viewed as "Cherry Picking". And if Floyd turns down a fight with Cotto, hmmm....what will they say: "Floyd is scared of Cotto".

    THE MADNESS WILL NEVER END????:-(

    I disagree. Pacquiao is ready to retire, especially if he wins the election so Arum would surely consider that multimillion dollar fight between Pac and Floyd.

    Not true ... should Cotto win, he'll defend his title until a bigger fight comes along. I think another loss for Cotto will hurt Arums roster. Pacquiao will fight Mayweather, i'm sure it'll be a huge event when it comes along.

    I think Foreman is going beat Cotto making Mayweather/Cotto very unlikely.

    I would love for mayweather and cotto fight im def a cotto fan i know he just came off hes lose to pac man but in boxing 2 good wins and your right back in the game SO MY QUESTION IS FOR EVERYBODY ON THE BOXING FORUM since cotto farther passed away do you guys think hes fight for something now ?

    I'm still kind-of in shock how Arum managed to re-sign Cotto after his Clottey fight after Cotto and De La Hoya met and even played golf together.
