Shouldn't have said dominated for the 2nd Jones fight but I thought is was pretty clear. 115-113 Morales in their first fight.
His recent wins helped his legacy a lot I have to admint although the win over Winky is hardly a good win. Maybe he cracks up top 50. But having him at 32 is too much IMO. He lost to Taylor 2X. Those 20 defenses meant nothing really when 3 of those were against Allen and most of the rest are against a bunch of really obscure mediocre fighters. Maybe that in itself is not too bad but in an era with all the good/great fighters that graced the 154 to 175 division, Hopkins' resume at MW is really pathetic. I mean at least the Kiltschko have nobody else to fight at HW and that is why now they are settling for journeymen. Hopkins actually had the chance to prove how great he was against top great fighters in the division within reach for him.
Not a bad list, a top 10 is even a struggle never mind a top 50. Nice to see Morales on the list... Mayweather deserves to be on the list like him or not, well done... Your no1 is 100% correct... Chavez should be way higher IMPO... Ali is 2nd on my list but at least he made your top 10 unlike other lists Ive seen... :good
I thought Barrera could have got the 2nd fight with Jones, would have argued with a draw. You said Barrera was dominated twice in his prime. i say only once against Pac and he wasnt prepared for that one and it was obvious. Not saying he would have won but he wouldnt have been dominated. Even an old one did better the 2nd time around against an improved Manny.
LMFAO @ Anyone putting Avoid Gayfeather in the top 50 is out of their minds. Omitting Mike Tyson, Felix Trinidad (fighter of the 90's over Roy Jones Jr. in my books), Joe Frazier and George Foreman makes this list a JOKE! Manny PacquiROIDS makes this list? As soon as he FAILED to take a blood test, his name should have been EEEEELIMINATED from any top 50 talk. LMFAO @ Sweet Pea over Felix Trinidad..LMFAO.
Winky was #2 p4p at the time and he was losing the fight after six rounds. He impressed me with the adjustments he made in that fight. He lost to Taylor as a 40 year old man. 6'1" draining to make 160. He would have mauled Taylor at his peak. Some of his defenses are soft yes but 20 defenses over 10 years and completely clearing out the division counts for something. Who didn't he fight at MW during his reign? Don't count Calzaghe because he was never a MW. The only thing that dissapoints me about Hopkins is that he didn't move up to fight Roy at a catch weight in 2002. Then again he was a MW and chasing history so I can't ***** about it. Even though as a fight fan I really wanted to see it.
I am laughing really hard at this post. I don't know what to say other than you had to make an alias for this comedy.
PATSYS, YOU EAT **** if you think Avoid Gayfeather has done anything to merit Top 50 rankings all-time. The ONLY reason he is even ranked is because American boxing is DOWN THE TOILET in the last 20 years and Gayfeather is all this country has. Everyone else is BULL****. And PacquiROIDS is a steroid cheat. Anyone who doesn't think so must think the hundreds to perhaps thousands of athletes busted in the last decade all were taking supplements from health stores/GNC
Would it be criminal swapping Louis and Ali? I am really starting to think he is the GOAT at heavy. Wins over 3 top 25 ATG heavyweights (Baer, Schmelling, Joe Walcott) and of course 25 straight title defenses.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Holman Williams ranks at least as high as Burley if not higher. Cocoa Kid shouldn´t be Top50 though.
Obviously some real STUPID boxing fans. Holyfield aka "Evan Fields" is another in a long line of chemically created boxing champs. Here's a guy STILL buying steroids and getting them delivered to his Atlanta home under his pseudo name, but assholes out here consider him an all-time great....LMFAO @ jackass boxing fans. Still LMFAO @ people who think Michael Spinks was greater than George Foreman and Joe Frazier..LMFAO @ that.
