just puttin a few Brits in their place whilst the missus is in the shower before I paint the Big Apple green! Here is a wee picture from yesterday - he had plenty to say about Macklin as well!! This content is protected
Shouldn't you be doing what all decent Irishmen do on this day i.e. get raring pissed whilst celebrating the life of a decent Englishman :deal BTW, great photo of AL, happy St Josephs day :thumbsup
If, as you say, St Patricks Day was a celebration of an Englishman it would be as popular as St George's Day
Cliff shut the **** up mate. everyone is entitled to their opinion including Tony and he can take critisim good and bad, so do not feel the need to stick up for him with a line like this "you probably never laced a glove up in your life or if you did were not good enough to be in a position to win a belt" because it makes u look like a ****.
Really can not wait til Macklin fights again. Very impressive recently and hopefully the next opponent will test him and be a real threat.
Tony, No disrespect at all mate, but you do often come over as Mr Warren's mouthpiece. Never a bad word for a Warren fighter, always a bad word for xyz's fighter. Macklin has broken his nose in training. **** happens.
There is a simple answer to that. Macklin is after a world title. Darren Barker isn't highly ranked. Whilst a win against Barker may improve his reputation in the eyes boxing fans it won't propel him through the ranks and bring him closer to a mandatory shot in the way Gevor would. You're a boxer, surely you understand his point of view. I'm sure if you manage to get in a similar position you would do the exact same. On the "pay day" issue. A fight against Andy Lee or John Duddy would generate twice as much dosh. Barker should go and beat a top 30 boxer and get up the ranks. That way he has something to offer Macklin.
