Best Lampley moment? "Bang, Bang" or "Written by Allah"

wow atleast iv learnt who are muslims on here. salaam to all of you brothers. for all those criticizing for over-reacting, you will never understand because your not religious. simple.

 

All he said was Assalamu Alaikum, I said the same thing, that is just a greating.

It's not like he's having all his conversations in Arabic.

The 'bang bang' was just embarassing.
The 'allah' comment was rightly rebuked by big george. Quite insensitive that.

 

The "written by Allah" statement just proved to me how insensitive Lampley was to Islam, and the situation in the fight probably allowed him to voice what little respect he feels of the religion!!

 

To be honest - it's definitely not cool to bring someone's religion into commentary for a fight - but on the other hand it should be considered fair game as Naseem was the one to always bring it up and throw it in everyone's face.

 

Has there ever been a fighter who blurted out as much religious nonsense as Hamed did?

yeah Mike Tyson. After he came out of jail, he would blurt all kinds of nonsense disrespecting opponents and end his rants with "Praise be to Allah!". Mixing trash talking and religion, :blood. poor Tyson.

 

I agree and I cannot believe that we have HDTV and ON DEMAND and DVR and all that **** but we don't even have the option to turn off commentary when we're watching sports! That **** pisses me off!

I would watch 99% of sports with commentary off

Of course Allah can spell Barrera, Allah is the creator of everyone, and everything, he is the all knowing, this is what us Muslims believe, Lampley is also Allah's creation.

 

The reason I think Lampley kept going bang bang, was to get under Emmanuel Stewart's nerves. Just a minute before he did that, he and Stewart got a little loud over Clottey not willing to punch and Pacquiao not landing clean shots when for the most part he was. So I guess to rub it in and not let Stewart get biased, he decided to do that when Pac was landing clean afterwards.

 

the problem was half of those punches were not landing. most of pacquiao's punches in the entire fight were hardly landing.
