I think Calzaghe may be able to beat them all, but wouldn't call it quite easily.

I think Calzaghe made a mistake retiring, he is still good enough to increase is legacy and not leave such a question mark at the end of his career. I have heard Calzaghe fans talking that he was some kind of shot fighter, which he has most of his skills and like Hopkins I believe got more head smart and aged well.

Calzaghe should be the betting favorite against each one of these guys but I'm just not sure he beats them all.

Calzaghe beats Kessler every time they fight... that's for sure. He destroys Allan Green and Jermain Taylor.. and easily outpoints Abraham..

On paper, Calzaghe should beat Froch as well, just because he's so much more skilled.. but I'm not sure about this one..

Funny thing though, I think Dirrell and Ward would give Calzaghe the best fights, even though they probably have the least championship experience.

I think Calzaghe would beat all of them. In 24 title fights, hes proven he can beat all different styles when they were presented to him.
Calzaghe may have been put down in his career, but lets not pretend he was staggering around the ring at any time, he was alwasys the one who came back throwing punches and had an outstanding chin.
Calzaghe would easily out box Froch, Abraham and Green, beat Kessler easier next time round. Against Dirrell Calzaghe would cut the ring off and be throwing fast combinations Direll wouldnt be able to avoid and against Ward who has been put down and hurt by lesser men than Calzaghe (which seems to be forgotten) I feel he would be widely outpointed as Calzaghe would trap Ward and unload combinations and I feel he would beat Ward if it went on the inside also.
    But thats just my opinion

As most people put on here, I think he'd beat them all but not easily. A boxer always has a punchers chance and Calzaghe can get tagged at times. The poll should be more granular :)

The Super 6 and Bute are the next generation who all have something to prove - Calzaghe has nothing to prove. Right now, for me, none of them have shown they could beat a prime Calzaghe.

Lets look again in 2 years and see who is gonna be the next great SWM and then compare them to Calzaghe cause right now it is too hard to compare a guy like Ward to a guy who had 15 years at the top.

I think his toughest fight would be Ward. Ward is a spoiler just like Calzaghe.
However Calzaghe was able to spoil Hopkins game and that was the master spoiler.

Idk its like Calzaghe alwasys managed to turn it up when things got tough.

Man does not get enough credit around here for acting like a douche i guess but he had talent.

a prime calzaghe or semi prime (2005) would take them all out. the thing with joe is even with old age he had top class hand speed. his boxing brain was just sensational

:patsch Lacy anyone? ...And I would say Calzaghe has more pop in his punches than Ward...Bench press competition, Ward might take it.

He would beat them all in his prime.

Arthur, would have the best chance b/c of his power. He's not getting outboxed though.
