hi guys got some new 16 oz gloves and have tried to use them but after one or two rounds on the heavy bag feels like my fingers and middle knuckles are going to break and have to stop. Is there any way to soften them up espesialy the pad on the inside you wrap your hands around when you clench your fist cheers

sorry that last sentence doesnt make sense.

make sure you're wrapping correctly. use 2 sets of wraps if you need to.

give your gloves a few more workouts to break in, and you're techniques prob. wrong

Yeah, put a sponge under your handwraps. Works for me. Also, sounds like you got some shitty gloves. Get better ones.

I think you should let some sweat accumulate in those new gloves...once you get a pound of sweat in them, they'll feel different. Especially 16oz...CHECK YOUR FORM [skeletal alignment when you punch]

the gloves are twins and ive been boxing for a few years so i dont think its my technique.
With my old gloves had no problem and never with wraping my hands .
I box every day and give them two rounds on the bag at the end of my training trying to soften them but they instantly screw my fingers

Well those are Muai Thai gloves, so the padding might not be the same as pure boxing gloves

whatever dickhead I'm almost positive it's your punching technique now. dont smash your knuckles into the bag.

Yeah looks like he is punching too hard when his gloves aren't broken in and/or his forearm muscles aren't strong enough to keep his fists clenched.

Might be the gloves man. Muay Thai gloves are built to allow the hand to remain open to grab, cup kicks, and such.

Nothing better than some good old Ringsides. The quality has been a bit wack lately though.

It isnt the gloves, i had a pair of 120z and 16oz twins gloves and they are proper boxing gloves. Just because twins is a thai boxing brand doesnt mean the gloves are different to pure boxing gloves. I find twins are a really good glove. It must be your punching technique, i never had a problem with twins gloves.
