hey if you eliminate those 6 fighter you added in therethe count is pac 5 and Duran 2. Cotto isnt great - Pac 4 and Duran 1. This is all subjective but it is clear Pacquoai is the greater fighter!!!

Kinda shocking that Manny is topping the poll. I think Duran is a clear level or two above Pac at least but everyone is entitled to their opinion. LOL at the thread starter who said Duran only beat one great fighter though. I wonder if Duran was around now how many people would be on his nuts.

The bold guys are at least up there with EM, Mab and Marquez. If they are no atgs, neither are those three.

Barkley won belts in three weightclasses including wins over Tommy Hearns. I think he has a decent chance getting into the HoF.

You need to be a bit more specific because Manny has not beaten anyone great in their prime... Beating great names who were past it doesn't count as beating a great in their prime...

another Duran/Pacman poll. I will be honest here. Even though Manny beat more greats, the level of greats Duran fought were higher level than the ones Manny fought. Barrera and Morales do not compare to Hearns and Leonard and Benitez and Hagler. yet I do not give Duran excuses for losing to them, he was outclassed and couldn't compete in divisions he fought in before Hearns or Benitez even fought at 154. Marquez is not a great fighter and lost to Johns. Marquez fought the top guys at the right time, so I do not think that is a win against a great for Pacman which will make some people mad at me. Delahoya was a little washed up but still in that one I think Manny made Oscar look washed up. On this poll I voted that Manny beat more greats. But if there was a poll who fought the better greats then Duran would win. Duran fought the higher quality greats which would be harder to beat. But the question is who beat the most greats and that is Pacman. Who fought the most greats and higher level was Duran. My answer is vague I know.

Duran ruled the lw division for almost 7 years, and went to ww and beat the best ww, and a top 10 all time great fighter in boxing history... Duran was not knocked out until he fought at 154...19 lbs above his prime fighting weight. Pac lost by ko twice in 3 rounds by chinc and body shots... If we are to define great as great in their primes, and not past it, then I can't name anyone great PAc has beaten in their prime while Duran has beaten Leonard, a top 10 atg. When defining great, I don't count the name, but the time they fought that atg...

If you say PAc beat Barrera in his prime, you don't know boxing. If you say PAc beat Eric Morales and Juan Marquezs in their primes, then you are a half a liar.

Looking at how you rated Pac's wins like they were "Uhmmm, yeah, not bad" and then looking at the clown in your avatar and your location I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

    Stupid ape.

PAc, imo beat JMM in the first fight, and lost the second... So technically you can say that JMM was prime when PAc beat him...at least to me!

Sure those two losses are bad but were covered up completely with his achievements now and seriously you keep holding on those two losses like he suffered them two days ago, it happened before so what?. Ali got knocked down early in his career and was supposed to lose by KO to Cooper in that obvious scam Dundee successfully got away with but no one rates those above what he accomplished later, do they?

You can't really judge these two based on atg's they've beaten... Both beat very good fighters... Duran fought more prime fighters, and he fought the greater fighters win or lose...

Good post although then if you use this same criteria, Duran fought Ray when Ray had not put the mental and physical aspects of his game together to be the great he was later. Duran helped him get the mental aspect of his game together, and after that he beat Duran easily. The Ray Leonard that Duran beat in June of 80 was not the Ray which Duran lost to in November. It was that easy for Ray to modify his gameplan. He knew he fought the wrong fight and he then fought his fight and won easily. The Duran fans will say he was out of shape and all that, which Duran did not say immediately. What Duran said on the night of the fight was that he ate a huge steak and drank a two quarts of water. Something like that. Either way the excuses were really flowing after Duran lost the rematch, something which always happened with Duran and losses to greats.

Sorry, but rating Ali being knocked down and getting up at 3 while hurt does not compare to PAc being knocked out twice in 3 rounds...I call that reaching Scar. There was no scam...
