This content is protected Roger Gracie (Above): Dave Mandel/Sherdog.com For all the armchair-promoting directed at Strikeforce, its getting harder to find fault with some of the cards being assembled. (Get past Herschel Walker if you have to, but Januarys Nick Diaz vs. Marius Zaromskis fight was worth whatever Showtime charged you.) With Roger Gracie telling Graciemag.com -- noticed by USAToday.com -- that hes scheduled to fight Kevin Randleman on May 15, that programs heavyweight line-up is getting generous. Alistair Overeem is slated to fight Brett Rogers; Andrei Arlovski and Antonio Silva will appear on the undercard. Fedor Emelianenkos fall/winter 2011 opponent is more than likely somewhere on that list. At 2-0, Gracie is nowhere near that scene, but he displayed what he could do against a monolith wrestler in Ron Waterman back in 2006. Randleman, dangerous when he chooses to be, may indicate how Gracie reacts to real violence in the ring. And after the disappointment of Rolles Gracie in the UFC and the disappearance of Daniel Gracie from competition, how far a heavyweight from that family can go is still an open discussion. Kevins my boy but im not really sure what to make of this. Kevin is completely shot. :|
Ive always liked Randleman for some reason but im quite sure hes getting tapped in this fight. Kevin can barley even wrestling anymore and his legs/knees are so ****ed up he looks like hes walking with sticks that are about to snap.
Kevin's knee's are shot to pieces. He can barely walk. All the injurys surgerys and Kevon basically not taking care of himself in his prime have more than taken its toll. The guys a walking zombie. Matter of fact he's in worse shape than Coleman.
