David Tua - Why I'm back

I see him making waves, but not beating Wlad, and certainly not Vitali. I'd like to see how he would do against Haye.

 

Tua has 9 fights in the last 7 years

The last guy Tua has beaten who was ranked was michael moorer in 2002

hes already canceled 1 fight since his comeback....

he looks good knocking out human punching bags like cameron.....but doesnt fight often enough to see what he can do against a ranked guy.....

if you think about it...Tua is a legit threat, the most dangerous guy out there right now in terms of challengers...its almost sad and disheartening that he has somehow wasted a decade and hasnt fought for a title because of whatever problems he has had...while guys like chagev, ibragimov, valeuv, ruiz all pass the belt around to each other for 6 of those years....and guys hes knocked out like mascaev, that really kills me that this guy ever held a belt as bad as he was and Tua pissed his prime away... i hope hes serious...boxing needs him active

You read an interview with Tua's former trianer Kevin Barry - former because he stole a lot of David's earnings.
The guys bitter, and inaccruate. Barry said that Friday had Rahman and Peter in his camp helping him prepare, but he hasn't. Barry said Tua was 120kg, he's not.
He's just repeating the **** he reads on message boards like this one. :deal

 

It ain't desire but rather ability. He is incapable of staying in shape, just like Oprah. He can do it for a fight or two but he will be back to his usual self.

 

From what I hear Tua will be coming in at 235 to 237...thats a good fighting weight for him.

 

I love watching Tua fight and he's a humble, genial man when you watch him in interviews.

I, for one, will be watching his comeback with glee; he's a real threat to anyone out there other than the K brothers, but with power and a chin like that, he can take anyone out.

He could do very well for himself by smashing the top 10 to bits and landing a big payday against a Klitschko.

Rooting for him all the way!

 

I want to see him fight Rahman.

 

WHY?

He should be aiming high.

 

If Tua ever does fight the Klitschko's, he'd after go out all guns blazing, and not go into a shell. I don't think he stands a chance if it goes past 6 rounds, he'll get picked apart....

 

Off topic but were the Rahman/Tua fights any good?

 

He looks relentless in that vid. People compared him to Tyson on the way up, but he bobs and weaves more like Joe Frazier used to.

 

At 245 he is. If he wants to make a serious comeback at this stage of his career he'd better weight in no where near that mark.

 

I think Rahman got cheated twice against him.

I don't think Tua would beat him.

Besides, it is high compared to his current opposition.
