How many rounds you gave Hopkins when he fought Roy in 1993?

I re-watched the fight last year and I remember giving Hopkins rounds 4,8, and 12. And I think round 11 was one of those swing rounds.

 

I havent watched that fight in a very long time and probably will never watch it again considering it was a stinker,but i think i gave Hopkins three rounds maybe four no more than that.

 

Same here, I will never watch that fight again either.

 

Isnt in that fight that the legend in my avatar said this about Jones "I've seen Ray Leonard fight and Roy Jones is no Ray Leonard " or something like that when Clancy was comparing Roy to Ray?

 

Yes sir, but obviously in hindsight that statement proved false because of who Hopkins became as a fighter.

 

Yep, he said that. But I disagree and actually think Roy Jones was close to Ray Leonard standard at that time.

If the fight was a stinker in '93...............what can we expect in 2010?!

I gave Hopkins 4 rounds. It wasn't a close fight at all but it was one of those fights were the loser could have done better had he just been more active and aggressive. Jones breaking his hand also helped to make this fight a stinker.

Anyone expecting a great fight from these 2 counters punchers this time is gonna be dissapointed. I would have paid a lot to have seen this 10-7 years ago but not now.

2, and I only thought B-Hop pulled out a couple of late rounds because Jones was tiring. He'd never gone anything like 12 rounds before. It was a thrashing, a schooling.

 

i actually had Hopkins winning 8 or 9 rounds. I thought Hopkins pulled it out.

 

3 rounds for sure, that's it. This fight will be a different story...:tired
