I dont think Haye will avoid the Klitsckos, if you look at his career, you see he takes chances. He beat #1 CW Ring WBC & WBA champ Mormeck away and WBA HW champ Valuev away. The fight with Klitschko only fell through, due to injury & for anyone who thinks Haye was scarred, just listen to the contract the Klitsckos produced Haye (They must have thought there was a big chance of losing with that alone). It would have hindered his career, but now having a HW belt to bargain with, he is on more even terms, which makes sense.
Haye will go for it, no doubt

Agree 100%. The folding of the TV company would have been enough for most fighters to pull out.

Whats that suppose to mean 'and you know it'? I wouldnt have typed it if I didnt think so.
Haye made a point in the CW division of going after the best, and in 3 HW bouts, (one of which was inbetween his CW bouts and not officially when he moved up to HW) he has become WBA HW champ. In 24 pro fights he has won the Ring, WBA, WBC & WBO CW titles and the WBA HW title. That hardly looks like someone avoiding challenges when they have only had 24 fights, and who can blame him for wanting a deal which is better for him, hes got more to bargain with now. But Ive no doubt Haye will go after one of the Klitschkos. The one his fans want him to face first

Totally agree, some people are so thick.....the reason why Haye had (an still has) a strong following of real boxing fans before he become more recognised, was that he went after the tough fights. Gave the fights the people (in uk) wanted and for that he gets enough respect.

We shall see what the future holds, but he deserves more credit and respect than what he is getting from some posters/hayeters. If more boxers were like Haye, the sport would be better for it IMO.

    By no means.
Any Klitschko would outclass and destroy him.
From what he has shown yet, there is not the slightest hint that he could beat them. neither he can get through the jab nor that he can take the right.
Haye is a big hype.. from the day on he beat Valuev he has a lot to lose in a fight vs a Klit and there is no way he can win this.

    What? Are u serious?
I really do respect and also like Haye but thats a bunch of ****.
Mormeck -> paper champ. Bell knocked him (okay not that clean) out and got robbbed in the second fight (shorten rounds and all that ****)
Haye knocked him out via hitting his neck while he was behind on the scorecards.
Valeuv.. everybody had beaten that clown even Ruiz, Holy, Donald.. Bergeron stunned him.. the difference was that Haye got the decision because of the business. the belt belonged to Chagaev.
Cunningham cleaned up CW-division and called Haye out. He fought Barrett instead who was knocked out by Cliff Couser in 2..
Haye was in two tough fights up to now.. one was Carl Thompson and the other one was Fragomeni. Anything else was cherry-picking..

Haye wasnt behind against Mormeck when the fight ended, even after suffering the knockdown, and as Mormeck was the premier CW, who was Haye meant to go after? The punch which put Mormeck down wasnt on the back of the neck.
I agree the Chagaev didnt lose the belt, but he wasnt able to defend it, and so Valuev won it again. Ive never liked the WBA title situations which have come up over the last few years, but the belt is a good bargaining tool. And regardless of any contraversial decision Valuev had, he had the belt and made more sense to fight at that time.
Cunningham hadnt cleaned up the CW division, he had the IBF belt (which he won 2nd time of asking) whilst Haye held the Ring, WBA, WBC and WBO belts and Cunningham got put down 3 times by Adamek, who dosent have Hayes power.
Haye moved up to HW due to weight making difficulties, and pushed for a big name HW, but found few wanted to meet him, Barrett was a fighter who, some Haye fans mentioned, and Haye agreed.
Haye hasnt had many tough fights, because even when hes been put down, except for the one time hes got up to win comfortably and usually by KO.
Haye took a gamble in facing Thompson early in his career, which even in losing was commendable, and after Haye beat Fragomeni by KO, Fragomeni went on to become WBC CW champ.

If Haye can really make 5m GBP per fight fighting guys like Meehan and Ruiz then he'd be a complete idiot to fight Wlad or Vitali for say 10m GBP. Yes, it's twice the money but 4x the risk. What does he gain? To hell with legacy and fame, if Haye is smart he will first and foremost care about protecting his health and make a safe and steady bankroll.

Of course, there were millions of naive fans who believed his marketing talk of how he wants to bring excitement to the HW division. Now we know with some certainty that it was all talk, but honestly who can blame him. I read Haye is living in North Cyprus with his young family and a baby son, enjoying 320 days of sunshine a year. His responsibility is first and foremost to grow his family's bank account, not to make us boxing fans happy.

A question for the British Haye fans: Let's assume (just hypothetically, just a thought) Haye's next fights are 1. Ruiz 2. Valuev (Rematch) 3. Meehan 4. Adamek

Do you think his Sky PPV figures would be steady at around 5 million Pound Sterling, regardless of who he fights in these defenses? The Klits have shown they can fight some random guy off the street in Germany, they will still sell out 50,000 stadiums and get huge TV ratings simply due to their popularity in Germany.

Could Haye with his UK popularity also hand pick his opponents and still make millions for each and every fight? Or would UK fans at some point lose interest in him and stop paying for the PPVs?

If we're talking money here, surely a Haye/Klitschko fight would be the biggest payday of Haye's career? (Assuming the Klitschkos arent going to be greedy)

No, he wouldn't be able to sustain it. Not unless he was beating these guys in really spectacular fashion whilst building towards a fight with the Klits.

They offered him awful terms before, so it would be interesting to see what they offer now. Let's not forget that Vitali pulled out of a fight with Haye before Haye pulled out of a fight with Vitali, and let's not also forget that Wlad was the one who refused the offer of a 3 week delay when Haye injured his back. The supposed 'ducking' cuts both ways.

    You can blame him

He said he could KO the klitchkos

Everyone wants to see the best fight the best

I genually think he can pose a significant challenge to either brother. There is not another heavyweight out there who can pose a serious threat.
