Teke jump on board. Its the year of the tiger. Benji beat Danny Greens eels tonight on his own. With Brett Stewart looking at Alcatraz the eagles are like last weeks wages. GONE.

    Balmain...That was a decent 2liner...

But its a fact that Penrith always have the tigers number so one would suggest its the year of the panther..

Though will admit Benji nd co looked very sharp.

Would also like to add that Carl webb's footy career is starting to mirror his pro boxing career..

Man he is a horrible player these days..Complete shadow of his formerself.

Yeah, I couldn't help but admire what Bennett has done for their finishing game, right across the board.
Gone is the "Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory" days that plagues StGeorge. The old leading but dying in the 2nd half.
They are a really exciting team to watch now.

Bennett is a GOAT coach no doubt about it.

Jeez, I hate reflecting on stars on their worst days, but that error last night, being in a position of first receiver on a live ball in a losing team & having it bounce off your chest through inattention, has to be Carls worst omen.
His spill earlier won't help either.

You'ld have to heartless not to put your face in your hands watching it.

Ever since the Mario head shot, it's been a symbol of impending retirement.

Its funny how things turn out. I have never been a big Carl Webb fan until I met him at Chocs last fight. He was with Billy Johnstone who I have been friends with for a 100 years. Carl was such a nice guy. I even snuck out of the dressing room to watch him. I just hope he comes good as the season gets going.

Haven't watched a great deal of it actually, but it seems to be on the improve.

In 1997, the Australian Super League and the UK Super League had a Champions League type tournament and there were some massive blow out scores dished up from the Aussies (77-6, 60-0, etc).

Due to the salary cap, the talent is more spread out in the NRL now and therefor the quality of teams has dropped a bit over the last decade. It still wouldn't be at an even keel, but if the trend continues they might look at doing another Champions League type tournament in a few years.

Benji was great today but how good was Gareth Ellis ...thought he was outstanding in offence and defence !

As far as the Dragons go they were brilliantly efficient again ....

Yeah, the Dragons are looking good without being spectacular. Their attack seems to be slowly getting better too, which is what was lacking last September.

Dont be surprised to see them take out the minor premiership again, but their chance for redemption wont start until September.

I also put on a $40 double last night. Had the Dragons to win by 8+ and now need Melbourne to beat Penrith. I was almost going to bet Dragons 13+ but didn't have the balls

If it gets up, I'm gunna throw the lot on Manly to win by more than 4.

Gareth Ellis has been fantastic for the Tigers. I cant remember him having a bad game. The other pommy we got I think is going to go well also. Flanagan? Once he settles in he will be good for us. Dragons are going well as long as you dont mention semi finals. It must be the air as they seem to choke around that time.
