I agree with you, he said in interview that he didn't know he was down, but it's just really hard to believe that.
If you are already punching below your waist and you are still hitting the head, be assured that that guy is already on his knees. If you are hitting the top of the guys head, then that guy is on his ass.
abraham knew, he just took out his frustration from getting his ass whooped for 10 rounds, when you **** up like that you just say sorry and shut the **** up. Calling Dirrell an actor after the fact is a glimpse into what type of a person Abraham is.
Yes, I think he knew it. He threw it because he got the impression that the referee told them to just get on with it and "protect yourself at all times". When he was hit low... the ref looked away and allowed Dirrell to keep going... So Abraham followed that line... But .... what he didn't know was that the line...... was not a line. It was more like "whatever protects my fighter, Lawrence! What was your account number again?"
I said this the other day..lol One guy got hit upside his head and he is Denzel Washington in the matter of a split second the other guy was "in the heat of the moment" "pumped full of adrenaline" "in the zone" ..lol I swear everything I have ever said is fully confirmed throughout this fiasco so I have no clue why I am surprised.
No, because he was coming on, Dirrell was ready to be knocked out, after Abraham knocked him down. Abraham did not say, well, I want to hit him while he is down because Cole is a criminal? Cole had already been cheating Abraham, the cut was from butt, low blows, legit knockdown. Abraham had to know that Cole was biased and therefore would not intentionally land illegal blow. Dirrell looked over at his corner to get instructions, then pretended to be knocked out, but everyone knows he was not. I knew he was fine and I was right. Dirrell did a good job for throwing punches, but tired out, got knocked down and was ready to go. It was a lucky break for Dirrell. Dirrell will get knocked out in the future.
Give the guy credit for a brilliant performance....just ONCE. Please. I beg you. Type out the words "Dirrell put on a masterful clinic". Come on man. Just this once?
It's a legitimate question, cos Dirrell keeps doing this thing of crouching very low down, plus if it was a slip and he was down, the ref should have called it. I'm not sure Abraham heard the call, or even if there was one. The ref's in charge, in the meantime protect yourself at all times, why didn't Dirrell protect himself?
Don't know. Usually when people fall down, they put their hands in a position that will minimize the impact, basically trying to touch the ground before their body follows.
So far there are 18 posters who think otherwise. Did they replace their brain with something else? :think
He knew, he was frustrated and did something really stupid. And of course he deserved to be disqualified for it.
