who is faster guzman or pacman?

    my thoughts are that guzman has a better combonation punches which are more flashy and are more point orientated that will make his oppoanant cover up and make mistakes which he then counter.

    pac throws a punch and then throws andother punch and then another

    his mentality seems to always throw a jab at the end of a combo whic is a great technique it get him either in range or to get out and can be set up with a left cross if he wants (whic that will have a jab on the end)

    why is he overated:think there are very few guzman avatr clubs on eastside or any other boxing forum for that matter.

    i think he is the real deal. he has bags of talent has great handspeed (citation needed it seems) very good movment can stand in the pocket and throw alot of leather with a good workrate.
    he doesnt seem to have the power liek he had before but i think a perfectly placed punch can be all that it takes.

    guzman can match pac's speed only till the midrounds...he tires out after that..his combinations starts to slow down..

    if pac and guzman faced each other, Guzman will be the fastest fighter that pac has even been in the ring with.

    I think Guzman is a sleeper and has yet to be disovered by boxing main stream.

    But once he gets his first big fight you willl see that this guy is the truth.

    I agree that pac tends to focus in on his power shots more and probably has a higher connect ratio, he has an off beat land left hand that is deadly. He starts and finishes with the jab wich adds much substance to his offence.

    I just think you guys are writing off Guzman too quickly as both fighters r dyanmic. I simply cannot see Pac landing cleanly on Guzman bc the domincan fighter has great footwork and decent head movment and he is a supreme counter puncher. It is just that he throws too much somteimes and does not focus in on the target as does Pac but he wil overwhelm you with volume.

    Guzman has a great chin and if Pac misses with the left you can expect Guzman to throw his right over Pacs left followed up with multiple hooks. Pac does not have a defense for Joan's offense but i beleive that Joan has a defense for Pac with his movement and counterpunching.

    i think joan guzman would destroy barrerra and JMM as well.

    ANYONE HERE CAN QUOTE ME ON THIS...

    Guzman has faster hands. Pacquiao is more explosive....he often uses leg strength to increase his straight line speed like Jones Jr did. But when standing still, Guzman has slightly faster hands.

    Guzman might be a little faster but Pac has 3 or 4 times the punching power over him. :good
