A few people i know have had similar experiences with him.

I understand his ambition, and it's good to see he has ambition, but he's stating he want's to be in the ring with the best 2 boxer's in the world within a year, when he won't jump in with a guy (Maidana), who aint even the best 140lber in the division...

its cool i just saw the article. like i said before, it just shows how excited he is about his future. it's hardly a reason to hate the guy based on a few ambitious (call it stupid if you wish) quotes unless he makes a big habit of it which he clearly hasn't.

What about the interview (on radio, not no article) where he said he's not ready to fight the likes of Marquez yet? So if he's not ready to fight JMM then is he really ready to fight Mayweather and Pacquaio? Doesn't make sense to me, and thats what makes me skeptical when i read articles like that, hence why i usually take notice to video/radio interviews rather than just articles.

 

True, internet, papers, etc can be bull**** but we can only discuss what we read. I agree with what you said about having a bad experience, but a few people i know have had similar experiences. My confrontation with him was when he had'nt been pro long, and i'll admit he has matured since then.

I'd like to see Khan do well i really would, but until he proves himself properly he won't get any respect from me. Malignaggi is a tidy boxer but as i said he could'nt knock the skin off a rice pudding. If he jump's in the ring with Maidana, Bradley, Alexander, etc, and put's on a legit performance, does'nt run/hide, etc, wether he win's or loses he'll earn a bit of respect from me and a lot of other people

 

Khan can say what he wants but his handlers will probally keep him the **** away from Maidana.

 

Im a Amir Khan fan but he ain't proved thats he's world class to me either until he fights/beats the likes of the names that you mentioned. Only time will tell and im just saying people are being to critical at such an early stage of his career.

 

Why not in a years time? People can see Alexander and Bradley in with them now but not Khan? Go **** yourself you stupid ****.

Maidana will probably get Ko'ed slow and has no chin.

 

Khan would struggle against all three of those guys. The Jr Welterweight division is sooooo stacked right now.

Khan has already ducked Maidana, who was his mandatory for the WBA belt, but Khan somehow got to keep it even though he clearly ducked Maidana.

Devon Alexander put in a great performance against Urango, and the uppercut he finished Urango with would probably just about kill Khan. Bradley showed he is a beast against Peterson, and Maidana is a big puncher.

Khan has great skills, but being knocked out in the first round raises plenty of questions when you're talking about fighting the best at 140.

I think Khan will eventually fight someone like Alexander or Bradley. But only if he is still a player himself at the division, which I think he will be and after he fights one or two of the old guys around his weight like Hatton, JMM, and Morales.

I don't blame Khan's people for keeping him away from some of those guys, he's not ready for them. Madaina is going to be a nightmare style wise for Khan and Bradley and Alexander are better than him right now. After Khan gets some rounds in with Malignaggi(who is a live underdog) and guys like JMM, Diaz, Hatton, Morales, etc then he will face the elite of the division. And it goes both ways, I don't see a problem with his team putting the top guys off for a few fights and I don't blame those who criticize him for it either.
