To me it looked like he wanted to go the full 12 without too much exertion so I wouldn't read into the fight a massive amount. Steady performance, nothing more, nothing less
Because " El Che Guevara " was a ruthless " merciless " assasin... This is known by all Cubans as he is considered almost Cuban as he fought along Castro and the others but was from Argentina... El Che had a saying that went, " a prisoner does'nt deserve mercy but instant death " and because of that, every prisoner held by him was " executed instantly " without mercy...He also went from town to town killing all people including innocent civilians and also children !!! :-( That's why Guevara was also " executed " without mercy, as the Word of God says, " those who are merciless they will not receive Mercy but Blessed are those who are Merciful as they shall receive Mercy ", and " those who pick up the sword will also die by the sword "... Jesus. El Che, just like all the Cuban " sons of the devil revolutionaries " were all the same, ruthless, merciless assasins... The sad thing about this is that the vast majority of Argentinians see El Che as a National hero, heck even tyson has his face tattoed on his body and don't know who the real Ernesto " Che " Guevara really was !!! :good I myself being Cuban, am " ashamed " of all Cuban revolutionaries ( merciless assasins ) that have " destroyed my country " since 1959... Then again, this happened to Cuba for " putting Jesus to the side " and making a contract with the devil himself " Fidel " and his friends... The word of God says, " If my people will repent, humble themselves and look for Me then I will heal the land and take all the evil away "... But then again, Cuba's National religion is now " witchcraft and Santeria ", and God cannot do anything when all Cubans are " worshipping these false idols "... Sorry for the sermon my friend, but sometimes the preacher in me comes out, specially when I see people with such ignarance... God Bless you... :good
Back to Gamboa, he really looked like he wanted to go the full 12 rounds. Why? Maybe to develop his defense and just practice other new things...He seemed uninterested in putting away Barrios...
Lol. Good post. I see wanna bes wearing those shirts, supporting Chavez, Castro, Che, all those disgraces and I just shake my head. They wanna act all cool and "open minded" but have no clue about who they really were. It's the same in Colombia, there's this guy called Pablo Escobar, I'm sure you know who he was. He's worshipped by some ******s over there (and over here... in the US) When he was just a disgraceful drug lord and killed many innocent people.
True my friend, what happens with these people is #1, " ignorance " and #2, they need an " identity ", but what better identity than JESUS? It all goes down to SIN, the Bible does'nt fail and God's Word is always 100% accurate. Instead of following God's teachings, morals and commandments they decide to follow these criminals... :-( Glad you liked my post! :good
I agree with you that Barros was a better opponent then most (including myself) expected him to be. As for Gamboa displaying defensive skills though, i have to say that yeah, early on he was slipping and side-stepping punches beautifully, but in the second half of the fight i thought he got pretty frustrated with the trouble he was having landing cleanly and showed a lot of his old bad habits, lunging in with his shots and leaving himself SHOCKINGLY wide open. In fact, in the 8th round after he scored the kd, i thought he was pretty badly buzzed after he got clocked by a right hand while lunging in, although the commentator didn't pick up on it. Also, i don't think Gamboa threw a neat, straight punch down the middle all night, so many wide punches. I like the kid, and maybe his physical abilities will be enough to overcome his deficiencies even against top-level opponents, but to me he looks like a knockout waiting to happen when he steps into the big league.
I think people should stop talking about politics and religion in boxing forums when you say : But then again, Cuba's National religion is now " witchcraft and Santeria ", and God cannot do anything when all Cubans are " worshipping these false idols "... So your god is the official god ? in my humble opinion you're both worshipping false idols Im also a Venezuelan and i don't support Chavez at all and i'm still living here , but to say sons of the devil revolutionaries " were all the same, ruthless, merciless assasins... that's a huge generalization shared by most americans , and they're about the most ignorant people i've ever met when it comes to other cultures and countries other than their own.
Mi amigo, yo soy Cubano not American... And Yes, there is no other name in which man can be saved other than Jesus Christ, there is only 1 true God and only 1 way to Him, Jesus Christ. " The road to Heaven is a very narrow road and only a few make it but the road to Hell is a very wide road and the vast majority take that road "... God is " a gentleman ", as He will not force anyone to obey Him, follow Him nor love Him. This is why He gave us " total freedom to choose " as He did'nt create humans to forcefully love Him as that will not be fair don't you think? Question: Do you want your son or daughter to love you by force or because they choose to love you for who you are? :huh God is exactly the same. He came for us, to save us, gave His life for us so that we can be " reconciled with the Father " in Heaven but only " those that willingly love Him will ever be saved and receive Eternal life !!! It's just as easy as 1 + 1 = 2. No science here and nothing complicated about it. It's humans the ones who complicate things, leaving God's love and commandments and serving " false idols who have eyes but don't see and have ears but don't listen ", when that happens God with tears in His eyes cannot do anything but just watch his loving Creation be lost forever...But there is always hope...:happy The best thing about God is His everlasting Mercy, all it takes is a " genuine repentance " and go to Him instead of running away from Him. He is always waiting with open arms just like the prodicle son, to forgive you, heal you and give you all His blessings... :good Maybe I got a little carried away but these words came from God to you...
Thanks for the compliment brother! I like boxing but firstly I am a son of God and the truth has to be said no matter what...Glad you like it. :good
Back to boxing, I think Gamboa gain alot of experience in this fight, also I thought Barros was ready to pack it in after the knockdown, only and only after he landed a huge right hand to Gamboas chin he got some confidents back, but he was outclassed for the first 8th rounds, and was a little bit more competitive the last 4th rounds, Gamboa was never in jeorpady to lose this fight and show that he can take a punch, he really got clock coming in, and this kid Barro has 16 ko on his resume, so he pack some power. So for those that think because of this showing he would not spank Lopez, you are for a big surprised. On his worst night he outclassed an invict, young and on his prime fighter which IMO will make some noise down the road, and on his worts nigh Lopez got beat up from pole to pole by a 31 years old jorneyman.
