Vera is good but not even close to great. He's a gatekeeper. That win though was impressive but we didn't get to see much before that elbow crushed Vera's face. It'll be interesting to see how he does against real contenders though

    Fair enough.:good

How would you see, lets say, a Jones-Thiago Silva fight going?

Silva's a big dude. He can be taken down, and Jones likes to take them down, but he seems to have a way of just getting back to his feet pretty easily, and although his punches can seem a bit slow he hits harder than a pissed-off mule on steroids. And he's a bona-fide top10/5 guy in the division.

Honestly, I can't really assess Jones because he's so unpredictable with his style. You just don't know what he's gonna do next and don't really know how good he is yet. His last couple of fights may just be a glimpse of what he can do and if that's the case he's gonna be one scary dude in that division.

Rampage- I think he'll beat evans
Jones has look good lately.. i want to see him against the top 205 fighter...
Thiago Silva vs Jon Jones should be a good test for jones to see if his ready against the big boys @ 205.

Wrong Thiago and yeah I think so. If Shogun is the champ maybe those two wins are enough but he got hurt against Silva at the end and the way Machida absolutely destroyed him in their last fight makes me think that a rematch need not be imminent.

I'm going with Little Nog here - great hands, great submissions and still very much in his prime at 33.

When Anderson fights LHW he's the best....when he's at 185 i'd have to give the nod to Evans (excluding machida and rua). Phil Davis looks like he'll have a promising career.

Gegard Mousasi may well be the best lightheavy on earth

I agree but the TS asked about in UFC. Mousasi and King Mo is going to be a fun one to watch.

Yea but we will never really know until he fights in the UFC. The UFC owns the world LHW championship, just like Strikeforce now owns the world HW championship (even though the champ, technically, isn't their champion.)

The lineage of Wanderlei to Henderson/Couture to Liddel to Jackson to Griffin to Rashad to Lyoto is too prestigious for Mousasi to ever be considered the best until he comes to the UFC to prove it.

He has a lot of very good wins but Soko and Kang and Manhoef just aren't on the same level as a Lyoto or Shogun or Rampage. He has to beat one of the real top dogs before he gets the real recognition.

He's on his long way out now. He was a great fighter but he's so boring now and shouldn't ever be put on a main card on a PPV. Pretty sure Rashad or Rampage would KO him inside 3 rounds
