**** him. There's been eighteen-plus months of waiting for Klitschko vs. Povetkin and it won't have been worth it in the end. My estimation was that Povetkin always had about as much of a chance as did Chambers - and look what happened there. Tua is a long shot but does have a puncher's chance with Wladimir, if he explodes out of the gate and keeps the fury raging early. Povetkin doesn't even have that puncher's chance, IMO. If Sasha gets screwed over by the IBF, there'll be no tears from me. There's no question to me who the more exciting challenger is.
Povetkin been in line for almost 2 years now. He has quietly passed on taking the fight, and when he was scheduled to he had that supposed achilles tendon tear when he tripped while running. I think his team realized he wasnt ready. Hopefully this year the fight will finally happen though
Absolutely. If Povetkin's camp wanted that fight, they could have had it by now. I reckon there's be more cash in a Tua fight as well.
All good points about Povetkin, though I probably give Povetkin a slightly better chance than Chambers (Still no-where near enough to consider him a serious challenge for either brother), but you are bang-on about Tua and whether we like the Klitschkos or not we really want to see either (Hopefully both) in a competitive fight, with a guy who is not afraid to "Take it to them"!!
God Forbid he KO'd Tua. I can see it now. Wlad is the hardest puncher OF ALL TIME!!! Wlad would KO Foreman, Ali, and Frazier...with the first punch of the fight. Ugh
