Please, there is a ****ing myth about hard chinned, come forward pressure fighters.

Froch is just gonna feel nothing and plod forward and land with no problems right?

As for Froch vs Abraham uzi, Froch doesn't have the skill or speed to do what Dirrell did to him, no way Jose. That will be a slugfest I fancy...cant really pick a winner but I reckon its gonna be Abraham.

I am loving the super six too.

You can't call these fights, because the skill sets each fighter brings to ring are good enough to win them the fights i.e. dirrell's undoubted boxing skills vs abraham's undoubted KO power.

I just wonder what will happen when kessler fights froch, what will happen WHEN kessler lands on froch with a power straight right(which he will), and froch takes it. He seems to have a good core strength that seems to carry him through fights where he isn't looking great. Will he break kesslers heart if he takes his best, with him also coming off a pretty devastating loss?
The thing with saying you will KO abraham is that you have to get through that defence of his. I mean the knock down that dirrell gave him, did not hurt him, he was going backwards off balance, and when he has been really tagged and caught (miranda fight) he has shown he can go to the trenches and come through.
With carl being the naturally taller and more rangey of the two, he would be better working off his jab, and coming in and out with hooks to the body to bring the guard down, rather than going gung ho. He just shouldn't get it into his head he WILL ko him though, big mistake. just let these things come naturally.
The super six is excellent, competitve, and difficult to call in terms of results.

I wouldn't be surprised. Kessler has looked bad since his comeback. At first I was convincing myself he just needed a few fights to shake off the rust but it hasn't happened. It wasn't the fact he lost to Ward, I thought Ward would win and presented a difficult style at ANY point of his career. It was more the fact he looked so slow doing it and couldn't time a punch worth ****. Even when getting beaten you'd expect the Kessler of old to land good punches, he was such a natural timer.

The one saving grace he has in this fight is that even if he's slower and lacking timing he can't fail to hit Froch, surely.

This is last chance saloon. Which is kind of dramatic sounding after one loss but if he loses I don't see the point. Out of the tournament and there is nothing really to do...maybe Bute. But why fight him coming off 2 losses, chances are it would be a third. He's made enough money to call it a day and I don't see where the hunger would come from to carry on.

The thing is, and I'm trying to convince myself of this, that sometimes you CAN delay the inevitable.

Even if Kessler is on the decline, there's certain things that can give you short term gains.

    He's fighting at home.
He's fighting to become world champion again.
He's less ring rusty than he was last time out.
    He has a new trainer.

Although intangible all of these things SHOULD point towards a far better, fresher performance than last time out.

This really is one hell of a fight.

I think froch is there to be hit all night to someone with the undoubted speed and skill of kessler, but since he lost to calzaghe, SOMETHING seems to be missing from his game. I just feel kessler's lack of confidence, or whatever is missing is there to be exploited by froch. As much as he is just average in terms of actual skill, froch will be relentless and does have enough power to trouble kessler.
The only thing i see being able to turn it into kesslers favour is if he does connect well with froch, and he sees some buckle in his legs, and he backs off. Kessler is quite instinctive, and will see this straight away, and will jump on it. I just dont know if he can anymore, which is a shame

The Super 6 took a serious turn after saturday night. Froch has to perform spectacularly and just go for it!

Where will Froch face AA? Germany?

I'm not sure it was the loss to Calzaghe as much as the inactivity afterwards. The two combined certainly weren't good, when you lose you want to get in straight away not let the doubts linger. He's also had constant back problems over the years that have handicapped a lot of his training and have possibly aged him earlier than what would be expected. It's too easy to just look at the loss to Calzaghe, its one of a number of factors.

    Home fighter wins that fight.

    I'm convinced.

It's gonna be a brawl - ref will decide a lot.

I guess you can take inactivity into account too, as you only get your confidence back in the ring. I mean i am rooting for froch, but i feel even an 80% kessler has, maybe not too much, but enough to trouble froch, as his low left hand has got a bow on it for kessler.
Froch needs to work a bit closer to kessler than he is used to doing to keep out of the way of kesslers right which is the danger. There are weaknesses for both to exploit, just wonder who will actually do it on the night

I think that Kessler will fold in the later rounds as Froch keeps coming at him.

I reeckon he will now. Kessler is past his best and Abraham is world class but I just dom't see him living with Froch's pace.

Can't see how anyone is picking Froch to beat Abraham? I just can't see it stylistically myself.

Kessler's footwork is now complete shite. I don't think he was always this bad but he looks very unco-ordinated now, especially when put on the back foot.

Froch is not a great boxer but he's very fluid in movement and has better improvisation than Kessler so I expect this to come to the fore when the fight goes deep and Kessler tires. Kesser will try to get his shots off and pull back but Froch will be leaping in and using this versatility to out-manouvere the Dane up close.

I see it being a close fight in terms of points because it's in Denmark and because Froch at times will give Kessler room to get his left-right off early on, and that is still a pretty potent weapon despite his decline. So I forsee a SD to either guy or a late stoppage for Froch.

Wasn't Kessler ment to fight Miranda at one point?

I don't know, but i seem to remember Miranda's team giving Kessler every concession in the book...larger ring, softer gloves, 10 rounds vs. 12, and the list goes on and on. If i remember correctly Team Kessler backed out of the fight even after Showtime secured it with a non-ppv listing and a non refundable retainer of $1M U.S. dollars. Personally i thought Kessler would be done with Showtime and HBO as well as you don't mess with deep pockets like that in the US unless you're a huge draw, which Kessler is anything but. Really thought he'd cooked his fate there. Thank God for the tourney, hey.
