Will Floyd moan to the ref or use an illegal elbow? I can see Hatton receiving a cut stoppage from this kind of situation

PBF will hit him back. He always has unless it was a situation like Judah. If anything, I would expect PBF will hit on the break as often as Hatton.

Good point. Mind you, i doubt Ricky will have much success with trying to mug Floyd. Floyd tucks up in such a way that Ricky would have to lierally do the foxtrot in order to manouver a clinch on him.

Ricky has to show me something he hasn't shown since the Olivera fight.... The capacity to fight with an intensity with out looking mug the guy. It just wont work.

Thats why he was so impressive with that style, the opponent was Ray Olivera. I hear alot of fans say wheres the Hatton against Tackie Stewert and Olivera, well in hem fights he was fighting stiffs, since he has upped his level he has looked a bit one dimensional.

That has to be the stupidest quote that I have heard for some time. Especially as it was said by an FMJ nuthugger.

Floyd always uses the forearm and elbow to sort of choke his opponents on the inside. I highly doubt Floyd will do much crying to the ref because Ricky won't be as effective with these sort of tactics against Mayweather.

I have a feeling that this fight will look like the Baldo-Floyd fight.

what do you mean "moan"? If Hatton is using illegal tactics of course I'd let the ref know if i was Floyd.. And if the ref does nothing about it then Floyd should give him an elbow in the throat!

Reason why I see this fight being a "classic". :D

One will try to "clinch" while the other tries to "run" . . . Floyd is too smart to let Hatton fight in his own game . . . believe me, so I don't see Hatton being succesful on clinching and hitting on the breaks. :yep

Only if its Hatton thats doing the holding...a lot of the time its the opponent holding trying to fend off the body attack. Like in the Castillo fight, most of the cliches were down to JLC but Hatton still got all the blame on ESB.

Hatton definately isnt boring but i agree to certain extent with regards to Mayweather on the inside.

For a defensive fighter, Mayweathers abillities on the inside are underated. (mainly becuase he opts not to be there) But being as Hatton WILL be the smaller man to Mayweather (a 1st for a good few years now) im looking for Mayweather to settle down from the mid-way point and really let that neglected right-uppercut go.

This is comming form a Hatton fan i'll have you know ;)

Err, both fighters use some roughing tactics.. Hatton is rough in the clinch, does hold and hit, and hits on the break.. But, Floyd hits on the break as well as anyone. Also uses his elbow to the throat to set up hooks lol. Neither of them are saints. Floyds fouls are as blatant as Hattons.
