With David "Tuaminator" Tua's win the other night, he now occupies the #3 ranking in the WBO. I wonder if this fight would happen and how do you think it would go. Still, he may well still have enough to test Haye's chin and he comes with speed and mobility other HWs perhaps don't offer. How do you see it going against Haye today?
tua aint got it anymore infact i didnt realy see to much to get excited about in his prime , the poor mans tyson let me add tht tyson himself is the most overated boxer in the world (not saying he wasent damm good )
If they fought tomorrow conventional wisdom says that Haye should win, and it would have to be on points in a highly disciplined fight, ala Valuev. But, throughout Haye's career whilst he has slick moves and speed he has been tagged a fair few times by pressure fighters that "walk" him down. Fragomanelli (sp) and Mormeck spring to mind. If Tua was able to get close, which i think he could in the first half of the fight then he could KO Haye. Haye UD. or Tua early doors KO.
^^ I like that fella. Only Tysons scored more 1st round knockdowns than Tua, Adam Booth's a clever bloke he'l be aware of that and will have Haye running and landing eye catching stuff at the end of each round. But u never know with Haye, Tua might just land that big left hook but i just think he loops his shots 2 much and Haye will see em a mile off. Not in WBA top 15 so not really in the pipeline though. A rematch of the World Amateur final with Solis would be sweeet he's in WBA top 10 atm
After Tua last performance I would have to go for Haye on points...Offensively Tua looked half the fighter he once was...Not one uppercut in his last fight I think.. IF Haye can get his jab going in this fight he could keep Tua to the outside and win a pretty comfortable points decision. Would only take one big punch from Tua to win this...but both in their current states...Haye would be favourite.
Yea appreciate Haye currently holds a different belt, but you never know what these things throw up. Wlads the WBO champ... I think Tua really does need to take on one of the more "well know" names knocking around though, to really get back in the picture. Whether he still has it or not, I'm not sure.
Haye himself has admitted smaller, aggressive guys are his downfall. Even now, unless Haye pulls off a punch-perfect performance, Tua within a few rounds. He's not quite with it but would still pose aassive stylistic problem IMO.

i can see Tua cracking Hayes jaw and cleaning him out in one punch........ Hes a quick little ****er still..... and if he landed clean he'd definitely drop Haye ... I'd say Tua KO
I doubt it, unless his last performance was a one-off and he just wasn't really up for it then I would strongly back Haye, despite the fact that Tua could stop him...Ahunanya, despite being a sound defensive fighter is nothing special, yet he slipped and blocked nearly all of Tuas head shots with minimal effort. Tua seemed to have big trouble with catching him too, he was very slow on his feet I thought. Haye, as long as his jab was on form and he moved as well as we know he can, could cruise to a points victory
